I Blue Velvet nascono nel 1999 dall'incontro tra Dohg (voce, chitarra e programmazioni ) e Andy Head ( chitarra e programmazioni).
L'idea sviluppata dai due è ispirata dal panorama industrial come Ministry , NIN , Einsturzende Neubauten , ecc.
Rapidamente si uniscono due elementi alla formazione i quali rimarranno presenti fino a 2005.
Da allora la band ha acquistato la presenza di altri due musicisti Malcom11 (bass e programmazioni) e alla parte ritmica DarkendDawn (drum e electronic drum set).
Con questa nuova line-up i Blue Velvet producono nel 2006 il loro album definitivo “The Third”, il quale si fa notare dalla Label “Koldfinger” che decide di distribuirli in tutto il mondo.
Con la pubblicazione di The Third la band inizia ad apparire in varie riviste italiane ed estere e su vari portali musicali.
Dopo una serie di concerti durati 20 mesi la band inizia a lavorare al remix di The Third dal titolo “Rotation” , il quale uscirà nel 2009. Parallelamente stanno producendo nuove tracks per il nuovo album in uscita nel prossimo anno.

Blue Velvet was born in the 1999 from the meeting between Dohg (electro voice , guitar and programming) and Andy Head(electro guitar ).
The basic philosophy of those musicians was to take inspirations from the industrial music already in commerce like Ministry, NIN, Einsturzende Neubauten , ecc... but with new characteristics.
Lately new members took part in the band: Malcom11 (bass and programming)and DarkendDawn (drum and electronic drum).With this new members the Blue Velvet produced in 2006 the definitive album”The Third”, that shocked the critics of many italian music magazines such like “Grind Zone “, “Ascension magazine”.
In the same time the Label “Koldfinger”decided to take care of the band and their world wide distribution.
After a large series of concerts performed in 20 months , the band started to work to the remix of the album “the Third”, named ”Rotation”, that will be in shops at the end of 2009 .
Nowadays The Blue Velvet are working on their next project with new tracks.

After their great debut release "Fantasia Meccanica", the italian act HIDDEN PLACE return with an all new and long-expected album! "PUNTO LUCE" continues along the same pathtraced by its predecessor. Deep sonorities are alternated with moments of emotionalism and refinement, underlined above all by more atmospheric sounds, that constantly influence this album.
