Bluish is a rock band with a flute and male / female, harmony vocals.
Formed in 2000 in NYC, Bluish has been dominating the NYC club-circuit and touring regionally throughout the northeast, adding to their loyal fan base every time they play. Their explosive stage presence and even more explosive songs immediately draw you in.
Bluish has a sound that first gets in your face and then gets stuck in your head. The drums and bass drive a back-line groove that work with a wall of thick guitars to rock like no other. Bluish rounds out the sound with contagious flute and guitar hooks that keep you humming for days. By the time the male / female harmony vocals come crashing down on you, you can't help but feel good and get moving.
After the success of their EP, "Milestones and Deliverables", college radio airplay, tons of shows, lots of hard work and fun, the Bluish full-length, debut album, "The Likelihood of Storms", was released in October 2005 to much anticipation. The buzz is already mounting for what is a top-to-bottom incredible album.
Bluish has a sound that is truly all their own and it's not just the flute or the harmony vocals... it's the coming together of five people who love music more than anything and who are committed to making the most amazing music possible... and they are good at it.
The power, energy and enthusiasm of Bluish are much like their music, one of a kind. Their dedication and hard-work, the fun they have, and the love for what they do, all show through in the music. It's different, it's better, and it rocks with a flute... it's Bluish.

What's up lady and gentlemens! You know I wouldn't normally miss a show at The Cup, but one of my b-day gifts was a cooking class about pairing craft beer with food at the Culinary Institute, so, alas, I've got other plans. So rock on w/o me. Don't worry - even though I've joined the ranks of the Tricenarians, I'm still DDubs, and ever ready to rock out next time!
Watsup, Bluish? You guys rock. Every time I visit your page, I hit myself upside the head and wonder why I haven't bought any of your CD's yet. I've really got to fix that.
But listen, Anthony, if you can please get back to me ASAP -I need some advice about bands and amps...I'm lookin' to get something good that could be worthy of small shows. As far as price range, I can do a solid $400; nothing too much higher. Please help me out. Thanks.
