HISTORY OF BLUNT POSSE SOUND
Blunt Posse Sound is based in New York, U.S.A.. In 1997 Father Blunt began playing house parties in the Bronx. Listening to sounds like King Barka, Young Hawk, and of course King Addies, Blunt took note of what made these sounds stand out among soundsystems.
These days the team of Ajax (MC), Mr. Lee (Selector), and Father Blunt prepare for crowds all over the world by studying which artists, which tunes are hot in that city, or that island. Blunt Posse prides itself at being creative, and bringing a fresh approach the clash scene and to the dancehall.
Blunt Posse Sound is a clash and hardcore juggling sound. When asked, Father Blunt, states that it is not the mere love of competition that drives this sound to clash, it is the love of reggae music. This is one thing this sound wants people to understand - the love of the music comes first.
In 2007 Blunt Posse hopes to bring the enjoyment of reggae music to more people across the globe, through juggling sessions, as well as through premier clashes.
