ABOUT ROSSANA JERAN:
I want to tell you about my latest project, The Sweatlodge. It’s not another a film; it’s actually my brand new private practice, The Sweatlodge. It offers an integrative approach to mind, body, spirit and personal training for people of ALL fitness levels. After becoming an AFAA Certified Personal Trainer and Mindfulness Meditation Teacher, I formulated a practice that synthesizes fitness and meditation, creating a fun, unique and effective session.
Filmmaking will always be part of my life, for many of you know, it’s a second language for me, but this IS a natural evolution from the themes and concepts that my films explored, I’m just channeling it in a different way now. For now, I have set my new practice in my ocean view studio in Santa Monica. If you know anyone who might be interested in this type of training, please contact me. Thanks!!

Speaking of films, I will have 2 releases in 2009! TRIPTYCH,
and SUNSET OF MY I, a short film I made for Relapxych.0, a very cool band from Sweden.
It can be seen in my film section and TRIPTYCH teasers are buried in the my blog.
ABOUT BLURGIRL:
I'm a writer, director and producer, whose been making short films for the last 15 years and I just finished my first feature film entitled, Godhead.
My films are rooted in symbolism and conceptual sub-text. Taking film back to its roots, my work communicates in a way that transcends language, for imagery is the LANGUAGE of the mind.
Thematically, my films explore psychological, metaphysical and spiritual worlds with a grittiness and edge thats a far cry from stereotypical spiritual images (dolphins and rainbows, etc). I prefer to examine the souls light to dark spectrum. I hope the the results are nothing short of vivid, visceral and sometimes cathartic cinematic experiences for the viewer.
My work has screened across the United States and abroad including the Independent Feature Film Market, Newfilmmakers/NYC, Gen Art, Independent Exposure, Deep Ellum, Chicago Art Institute and the Kansas City Filmmakers Jubilee.
Blurgirl Productions works in collaborative form with visual artists, photographers, poets, writers and musicians. Each artist exercises his own medium--at times asked to step outside of it and explore another. Poets may work on concepts for set design, photographers may write. In this realm, the boundaries of the screen form a canvas for visual poetry, engaging the viewer in a sensory experience and encouraging the imagination to evolve beyond the known.

I've been walking a spiritual path, practicing yoga, fitness and meditation for the last 15 years. Although heavily influenced by the concepts of Buddhism, Hinduism, Taoism, Native American traditions and quantum physics in the context of spirituality, I believe spirituality is an individual practice to be discovered, explored and cultivated within oneself. Embrace all religions, follow none. The desire to begin a meditation practice is not associated with any specific religion, doctrine, leader or culture but solely dependent upon an individual’s will to experience it. Synthesizing mind with body, rediscover your true essence with a Sweatlodge practice that will improve and enrich your life on many levels. ~Namasté

If we hate ourself, we search out new and more complex spiritual paths of "enlightenment" in hopes that we may split ourself up again in our quest for stronger and more externalized "gods" to scourge our poor miserable shell. If we accept ourself, but recognize that ritual and ceremony are the important devices that our invented religions have utilized to sustain our faith in a lie, then it is the same form of ritual that will give our awareness of our own majestic being.
Peekaboo! All Hallows' Eve Greet Things! and how is ya Afterlife?
"Then further back, higher than the candelabrum, and much higher than the altar, rose the Moloch, all of iron, and with gaping apertures in his human breast. His outspread wings were stretched upon the wall, his tapering hands reached down to the ground; three black stones bordered by yellow circles represented three eyeballs on his brow, and his bull's head was raised with a terrible effort as if in order to bellow."
In a motherless tongue I have lain on the concrete floor surrounded by the gray walls of the colorless lie the boundaries of fear and myopic xenophobia...
Separated from the highest truth of beauty by a shadow of doubt and a barbed-wire fence slammed to the ground by mutinous flesh gone rotten...
Still the wings of unseen spirit beat almost unheard waiting for the onslaught of the civilized scourge to subside waiting for the goddess to reawaken in the time of darkness...
Waiting for the reunion of the chemical wedding marking days, hours, weeks, months like marks on a prison cell wall making excuses for why I'm still here in self-imposed exile...
