bad and sad news for blutch,
T'joens, bass player for 5 years decided to leave the band, obviously it's a very bad news for us, but of course we'll continue.
we are now looking for a new bass player, we started the composition of the fourth album, if you are interested you can contact us by mail on myspace. thanks to all of you who took time to read this message.
of course, the confirmed shows to la louvière and tilburg will be performed.

NEWS JUNE 2006
Hi everyone,
Our new album 'Materia' is all finished. It will be released through
Delboy records in September of this year, both on CD and LP. That's
right, a premier for BLUTCH. Super deluxe, heavy weight vinyl, old
skool
! We will do a shitload of concerts and tour after that. We're planning
on sharing a smelly van with our new label mates BLACK COBRA in the
fall. A States side release and tour is also in the making. More on
that
later. Stay tuned for more news, but in the meantime, enjoy the summer.

Hey there, were BLUTCH from Mons , Belgium. We released two demo-cds ourselves before we had two full -length album out on Delboy records, called "Enjoy your flight"( 2001 )& Fra Diavolo (2003). The critics loved it, so it seems. Read all about it ! The audience (the ones who didnt know us), most of the times, didnt know what came over them. Some were even scared shitless. Some ran with their hands over their ears. Ha ! They said we were too heavy, too slow, too loud, too unconventional whatever. In our book, all those descriptions lead to good music. It was hard, but we made a steady fanbase. Mostly beyond the Belgian borders, of course. We try to tour as much as possible. We did tours with Penthouse (uk), American Heritage (usa), Gone Bald (nl) and Sleeppers (f) amongst others. Played with Queens of the Stone Age (us),The Melvins (us),The Resident,The Young Gods(ch) Napalm Death (us), The Dickies (us), DOA (us), Nebula (us),Bongzilla (us) , Hitch (b), Millionaire (b),AmenRa (b) and many like-minded musicians.. . this album will be available on october 2006 !!!
JOZEF VAN WISSEM jouera deux fois à Liège le même jour! L'après-midi à 15h à la Médiathèque (place de la Cathédrale, 14), ce sera gratuit. La version longue le soir à l'An Vert avec MADADAYO en première partie, début de la soirée vers 20h30.
Jozef Van Wissem est un compositeur et joueur de luth établi à New-York mais originaire de Maastricht. Réputé pour son approche inhabituelle du luth de la renaissance et du luth baroque, Jozef Van Wissem coupe, colle, déconstruit des morceaux classiques, inverse les mélodies, y ajoute ses propres compositions et des enregistrements d'ambiance captés dans des gares ou des aéroports. Mélangeant composition et improvisation, Jozef Van Wissem parvient à créer un amalgame étonnant de folk contemporain et de musique de style fin Renaissance, sans prise de tête mais tout en respectant fidèlement la technique du luth.
Madadayo est un film réalisé par Akira Kurosawa, c'est aussi le nom d'un duo liégeois de musiciens/bricoleurs qui qualifient eux-même leur projet de "brocante cinématique et auditive". A l'aide de deux guitares et de bricolages divers, Madadayo propose une musique poétique et expérimentale, basée sur l'improvisation; où se côtoient ambient éthéré, noise délicat, et post-rock mélancolique.

CJ BOYD (usa) "Equal parts ambient and virtuosic, melancholic and playful, CJ Boyd’s bass playing melts glaciers, creating a sea of low, flowing rhythms, while also supplying melodies that soar over the ocean to dizzy the sun in its path. Waves of bass loops are garnished with harmonica drones and constant improvisational exploration."
