"WhispernThunder" is a eMagazine for Native American Heritage, their goal is to become a USA today for Native Americans on the WWW and Facebook, and for those who have or are just curious about Native American Heritage as told by Native Americans and their Families, they will be doing features on Current events, Historical Accounts and Traditional. My part is in helping to start the Magazine and contribute my take on Historical and Current Native American Portraits, One of my 1st pics will be Geronimo, they have also shown interest in several of my works like Leonard Peltier etc. I have always had an interest in learning more about my family's part in Cherokee and Creek Indian history. Whisper in the title refers to the past, Thunder refers to todays events we currently hear about. Anyone who is interested in Reading, or even Contributing articles etc can go to the main page at http://www.whispernthunder.org/

Hi uncle bob how are you and aunt melony doing? have not talked to you all in forever it seems like! lol...just wanted to say your page looks awesome!.....glad to know that i can still have contact with family online atleast
Wow... getting your friend request and checking out your pics was almost like revisiting my past. Let me explain briefly...
I used to be very active in A.I.M. (American Indian Movement) and trying to get Leonard Peltier freed. A few average people have heard about Wounded Knee, but couldn't tell you much about it. Hopefully with the HBO movie adaptation of "Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee" that will change a bit. Even those that have heard of it rarely know what happened in the early 70's (just the massacre that has been conveniently omitted from MANY "history books"). Anyways, when I saw your pencil portrait of Leonard, I was very surprised!!!!! Not too many people know who he is. I'm really glad that you got in touch (friend requested me) and that you haven't stopped doing your art. It is really good!!!!!!! I love pencil portraits; that is my 1st love when it comes to artwork.
If you ever want to talk about art, Native Americans, etc... just send me a message anytime!!!!! I grew up mainly drawing Native Americans (and that was it); the mascot at my high school is an "Indian" which after I became involved with A.I.M. have tried to get changed. That probably won't happen, but then my school doesn't go overboard making "racist" actions and such like many of our national sports teams (Atlanta Braves and Florida Seminoles, as examples). Well, I've taken up enough of your time (for now anyways), so I'll leave you with an oil painting that I did almost 15 years ago; from looking at your work, you should like the subject. Keep creating amazing art!!!!! THANKS and BEST of luck to you!!!!! Chris
