Bob and Rosemary UNPLUGGED!
The reason why we started this MySpace profile is because, being members of the baby-boomer generation we started getting scared and concerned that we wouldn't have enough money for our retirement, funding our kids education and beyond. We just couldn't understand why, despite making decent salaries at our jobs, there was always "too much month left at the end of our money." It's the reason why we originally started our first home-based business online a couple of years ago. We started our MySpace profile to find others who are in a similar situation and share similar concerns to ours… and hopefully our story can help inspire you to discover a better alternative just like we did when we started working from home. But before we get into that, let us tell you a little more about ourselves.
We live in a small town in New Jersey, about 15 miles from New York City. This is the second marriage for both of us, and we have 4 kids between us. Unfortunately (or fortunately, depending on your point of view), none of our kids are currently living at home with us. Rosemary's kids are older and on their own, and Bob's kids live with their mom. But we are very close to all of them, and spend as much time with them as we possibly can.
Rosemary was born in the Bronx, NY but was raised in Puerto Rico. Bob was born and raised in NJ, but has lived in Maryland and Rhode Island for many years before returning to New Jersey as his parents got older and needed his help. Rosemary's passions are gardening and Sudoku, and Bob is an avid Yankees fan and watches anything baseball. We are HUGE Rutgers fans! Our oldest son is a senior there, and Bob, his brother, and his neice and nephew all attended Rutgers. GO SCARLET KNIGHTS!!
Both of us are really into health and fitness. In fact, our first online marketing experience was with a health and wellness company, and we continue to take these products to this day. We work out regularly and watch what we eat. We are proud to say that, in the past 9 months, we have lost a combined 78 lbs!! And Bob's cholesterol has dropped from 210 to 109. We have successfully transformed from "overweight" to "in shape", and we are very proud of our accomplishment.
Our story would not be complete without mentioning Rosemary's recent diagnosis with breast cancer. She was very lucky in that it was caught quite early, although the reason for this is not quite luck but due to her getting yearly mammograms. It's true what they say -- early detection saves lives! Anyway, after 3 surgeries with 1 more to go, we will never quite look at life the same again. This diagnosis shook us to the core, and we remind ourselves every day to get the most out of every day that we can.
Our biggest problem when starting our network marketing business online was our LACK OF SKILLS. We were health care professionals and had no skills in many of the areas needed to be successful in network marketing. We had never written a website, never written an advertisement, and never called leads. We didn't even know how to write follow up emails!
We had NO sales skills. We had no idea how to effectively talk to people about our opportunity, or how to followup with them and we were getting nowhere FAST. We found it degrading to contact leads and get no answer, or hung up on, or in one extreme case, having someone try to disguise his voice. We wasted so much of our time with very little to show for it.
..All of these frustrations ended.. when we finally found a company that worked for us. The company is called CarbonCopyPRO, and features a fully automated marketing system that has taken US totally out of the equation. We have really sunk our teeth into their marketing training. In fact, we attended a recent CarbonCopyPRO marketing event, and we met these guys Dennis and Jimmy from MLM Goldmine, and we started training with them. They are showing us how to get free and low cost leads using Web 2.0 methods like MySpace and YouTube. Very cool!
So that’s why we created this Myspace page. This really changed our lives and is allowing us to feel really confident about our retirement, paying for our kids college education, with even enough left for vacations (and we still need to take that honeymoon!!).
