James Taylor/Beatles/BB King/Marvin Gaye all rolled into one.
Bob Ballard was born and bred in Boston, MA. The son of an Irish Catholic, blue collar family, Bob has literally worked his way up from the streets and is familiar with the trials and tribulations of life.
A great-grandson of a late 19th century Boston bootlegger, Ballards family controlled the Music Type Face for printing music in France for most of the 18th Century.
A player in various Boston area Prog Rock-Pop and R & B bands; Ballard passed on an invite to join the World Famous Bar-Kays due to a family crisis.
Later Bob Ballard found Music and bartending at such Las Vegas hotspots as the Fremont, the Flamingo-Hilton and The Aladdin. While in Vegas, Bob was mentored by Rodney Dangerfield and Telly Savalas.
Bob Ballard's Work History ranges from being a Factory Worker and Meter Reader, to a US General Accounting Office Auditor, a CPA and a certified student of the Berklee College Of Music.
Bob is married to the wonderful Gayle Wildowsky and is the father/step father of 6 children: Donald, Andrew, Jonelle, Jeremy, Chris Foley and Chris Ballard.
Bob now lives in beautiful Ojai, California, in a high valley nestled between the mountains and the sea. He is writing great music and performing at local venues. Bob is also acting in Kim Fowley's latest movie "Pink Cement" and has written and performed his music in the movie as well.
