On Monday, November 2, Broadway Cares will host its fourth annual SALON at the fabulous penthouse of Ron Pobuda, featuring a spectacular view of Central Park. Similar to their highly successful Classical Action House Concerts which feature vocalists and musicians performing in an intimate home environment, at their salons they invite extraordinary talent to stop by, mingle with guests and sing a few songs or regale with a story or two.
Borrowing a line from A Chorus Line, this year’s theme is “I Used to Dance Around the Living Room.” Famous friends will tell stories of what made them dance around the living room when they were young and dreaming of the stardom ahead of them.
This year the friends are: two of Billy Elliot’s Tony Award Winners, Greg Jbara and Trent Kowalik, Tony Award winner and Star Judge on TV’s “Iron Chef,” Cady Huffman, “All My Children’s” Bobbie Eakes, “Days of Our Lives” and The Boy From Oz’ Kevin Spirtas, from 9 to 5 and Avenue Q, Ann Harada, and Miss America, and star of Legally Blonde, Kate Shindle.

Bobbie Eakes plays the the role of 'Krystal Carey' on the ABC daytime television drama, "All My Children." Born on July 25th and raised in Warner Robbins, Georgia, 5-foot-4-inch Bobbie Eakes originally moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in music, but before long, she got her first break in the acting biz: a role on Laverne & Shirley. She didn't give up on singing though, and became a member of the all girl band Big Trouble, which performed as the house band on the syndicated series Comedy Break. When the band broke up, she was offered the role of Macy Alexander on the CBS daytime television drama The Bold & the Beautiful, which she took on in 1989. Bobbie sang frequently on the show, often with co-star and friend Jeff Trachta (ex-Thorne); their CD's, Bold and Beautiful Duets I and II, went double-platinum in Europe, where B&B is especially popular. She left B&B in 2000 and returned two years later. In 2003, when Bobbie landed the role of Krystal Carey on 'All My Children' so Bobbie and her husband David Steen relocated to New York City. The emmy nominated actress has also hosted the Top 20 Country Countdown for the Great American Country Network and released two solo albums; 'Here and Now' in 1998 and 'Something Beautiful' in 2005. In her spare time, Bobbie enjoys donating her time to various charities and loves to paint.
