"'Shadow of Mercury' is a delicate and beguiling solo project from an incredibly attentive and talented musician" Lisa Willmot, BHOne
I am an acoustic funk-folk singer-songwriter and, under the Castleman Corkscrew umbrella, I collaborate with other songwriters in the New Forest/Bournemouth area, operating as musician (guitar, bass, keys, vocals), arranger and/or producer. I am not a session musician - I only work with musicians of my choice for musical reasons (ie not commercial reasons), and I produce recordings because I enjoy playing, and would like to own them myself.

Recent work:
In June 2007, I toured Russia with Sudarshan (including a gig in a 'disused' firing range!), took a songwriting trip across France and Switzerland, and did the usual UK festival trail for the rest of the summer. The year finished with a sell-out tour of Ireland with Tinderbox (covering bass duties). Those guys are animals - it was like being on the road with Motley Crue!!!
February 2008 saw the release of solo album 'Shadow of Mercury' which was followed by a US tour, featuring an extensive string of dates across Chicago and the mid-west with Lou Brown and Aimee Newsome-Stone, solo shows in New York, LA and Santa Barbara, and an impromptu performance in the lounge car of the train from Chicago to LA (the train ran out of beer and spirits and I was lucky not to be forcibly ejected in the middle of the Arizona desert!)
