There's an old rockin' chair castin' memories everywhere On that old home porch across from Tipple's store You can see where the arm is worn Where my granddaddy rested his arm In that old rockin' chair that don't rock no more
I was born in a broken home, I was blinded by things gone wrong I had no vision of what the future held in store Just a baby barely three When my granddaddy came to me To rock me in the rockin' chair that don't rock no more
If the rockin' chair could read the thoughts from people's minds, Oh the stories it would tell time after time Stories others never hear Of the thoughts one holds so dear Oh how I wish I could've read my grandpa's mind
Granddaddy lived the Christian way, truth and goodness he portrayed He loved to gather his thoughts as he rocked on the hardwood porch Yes he loved to sit and rock Payin' no attention to the time on the clock And rocked me in the rockin' chair that don't rock no more
Hey, Bobby, it's been decades, quite literally... I'm in Texoma, working as a music/ police/ fire/ anything-else-they-need reporter with a daily paper in Sherman, loving it. Come to this area sometime. Bob Livingston does, and can hook you up. There's also a couple of nearby house concerts that Chuck Pyle and some other Kerrverts play occasionally. I'd love to see and hear you again. As a reminder, I used to work for Rod at Kerrville Festivals... I know what time can do to the memory!
It is a pleasure to have you as my new MySpace friend… I find your MySpace page, your talent and your enthusiasm for music pleason’ to many… I welcome you’re other MySpace friends to visit my MySpace page that I’ve dedicated to my admiration of many talented guitar playing musicians of many styles… Stop by check it out and leave a comment if you like… Thanks Ken…
Hey Robert! I'm back in this little library at the edge of the jungle in the dead of night. Gotta walk home. Spooky... I found the words to "The Astrologer Said." Trying to make sense of it and 10 others. One or two are pretty ok, I think.
Hey Bobby, Thanks for the feedback. I'm so glad the Pais and I got to talking about you recently. Still can't find Donnie. Hope he's still around. I'll watch for you if you come this way. Let me know. I'm in Dallas. Don't get to Houston much. All my best, Billy Bucher P.S. Oh, I still have the side burns. I use them in VoDou rites. Smile. They scare ME now!!! Yikes.
Bobby, It's great to be in touch again. I was down in Austin recently, usually play in the Hill Country, and Paisley gave me some old photos to restore and we started talking about you. And I thought, wow, why haven't I written him. Will watch if you get up this way. Check out "Austin Connections" in the photo albums. The infamous sideburns, that John Inmon and Shake are always kidding me about, are in there. Those were the days. We'll get together. Please comment on photos if you see something you like. Photography is my new passion. But still drumming and teaching. Billy "Backbeat" Bucher

Appena sarà tutto pronto ti faremo sapere.
Felice Anno Nuovo. Dio ti benedica ancora, grazie. Suonate il blues più c
Bobby, Thanks for add, I have followed you for years at Kerrville and met you a couple of years ago with Chuck Horn at the Hops House in Houston. Keep up the great work... TEXAS needs you.
Every time that we listen or write music... play an instrument... dance... act in a play... or work in some audio/image/video engineering process... Something is healing inside...
When we share it with friends... Something is healing all over...
