The story of 'Around The World' starts all the way back in 1994. Brothers Glenn and Steve Miller were watching a poor quality video recording of Bobby Darin's last TV show - which would later be released on DVD as 'Mack Is Back'. During his performance of the song 'Midnight Special' the band stopped playing and Bobby started to sing the words 'Around The World' in a variety of different melodies. Steve commented to Glenn how good it sounded and said someone could make a great song out of it.
Fast forward to 2005 and Steve is watching his DVD of 'Mack Is Back' . He began to play along with his keyboard to Bobby singing 'Around The World'. Glenn was totally impressed by what Steve had came up with and decided to get in touch with a friend of theirs named Sean G Clark. Steve, Glenn and Glenn's son Jordan got to work with Sean on recording 'Around The World'. They decided it would work best as an upbeat dance track and using Bobby Darin's vocals sampled from the 'Mack Is Back' DVD.... the song was born.
Steve said it would be fantastic if someone could edit the footage from the 'Mack Is Back' DVD to make a video to accompany 'Around The World'. Jordan said he knew a guy named Richard Rowell who used to attend his school and was now a media student. Glenn contacted Rich and they met up to talk about making a video for the song. Rich loved the track and also loved the challenge of making a video to accompany it. It wasn't long until Rich had produced a first draft of the video and when he showed the results to Steve, Glenn and Jordan they were totally blown away by the results.
After a discussion about how the video could be improved, Rich got back to work on making the changes. The results you can view now ................. Enjoy!
