I rotate the chairs alot- "turning the tables" so to speak......because I love what each individual artist/voice brings to the group on any given gig at any time.. I like to keep my options open and make my music very inclusive and open-minded...Also schedule-wise, it's worked out for me to have different people know the material...............
But generally most of the time the band includes these combinations:
--------------
Drew Miller, Jake Goran, Dave Clark-saxophones....
Kevin Sparks,-trumpet..
David Dorkin, John Epley, Jake Stith-guitar...
Wade Honey, Brian Healey, Anthony Ransom-piano/keyboard...
Jenna Mattingly, John Scharfenberger, Lee Puckett- bass...
Bobby Falk-myself on the drums and arrangements..
Influences
Main influences on my playing and writing: John Coltrane, Stevie Wonder, Terence Blanchard, Steely Dan, Etta James, Black Gospel/soul music, Louis Hayes, Bruce Hornsby, Geoff Keezer, classical music, Thelonious Monk, Oscar Peterson, Art Blakey, Kenny Garrett, Cannonball Adderley, Earth wind and fire, Isley brothers, Jimmy Cobb, pop music, Tempations, Michael MacDonald, as well as my other fellow musicians and band members... I'm always checking out new music- and listening and learning...
Bobby Falk is a Musician (drummer) in the Louisville/Indiana area, who plays and performs quite a bit........ Mr. Falk is the Drum/Percussion instructor at Music-go-round (Hurstbourne music centre), Don Wilson Music, and KY. SCHOOL FOR THE BLIND (where he teaches drums/percussion, does percussion ensemble, jazz band, bluegrass, rock, private lessons, and faculty groups/duties) ..Falk also teaches privately and maintains a consistent performance schedule, mostly with the BOBBY FALK GROUP, a progressive group that merges the modern jazz element within, with a stong emphasis on originals and arrangements..
Falk recieved a degree in Music (BA JAZZ STUDIES) from University of Louisville in 2005, with an emphasis in Percussion.

Hey B! How's the world of music in ur neighborhood? Staying busy, I hope. I'm trying to keep up with dance and often forget to breathe! All is good, life is beautiful ;)
Killer, man. That Quasi-double time groove you go into on the cymbal bell was quite tasty. And Craig's solo...nuff said. Thanks for sharing, Bobby. Keep'em coming.
Hey Bobby!! Great to hear from you! Thanks for adding me on as a friend. Sorry that I'm so slow to respond. How are you? I hope everything is well with you! I bet your playing your a** off! I appreciate hearing from you. I sure miss the Jazz Factory! I will be in town for Jamey's camp in July. Hopefully, I'll see you at one of the concerts. Please take care, talk to you soon, Steve
Falk! I very much appreciate the kind words. Thank you. I really do hope we can get together and hang sometime in the near future. I really do miss those 4-5 am hangouts during the old cardinal village days. The next time I'm in the ville, I will contact you. I hope all is well with you these days. Let me know what's up, anytime. -I'm still diggin on your album. It is definately a great way to start a Saturday morning.

Hi Bobby,
Just thought you'd like to know that last week Skyjazz Internet Jazz Radio’s Favorite was The Bill Barnes Trio. Your work on the album was a big part of that. Thanks again.
Bill
I know I really didn't put the word out about my recital. I put a few of the tunes from it on my page. Check it out when you get a chance. I plan on checking you guys out at the Factory next week.
For those of you who weren't able to show up for this guy's cd release, u missed a great show. It is a pleasure to know this sort of player...the group as a whole was really in tune with each other...and when you closed your eye's to only hear...........it all was just one voice.. great performance!- Heather
