  • Music

Joe Esposito, Commuter, Gang of Four, Baxter Robinson, Broken Edge, Paul Davis, Shandi, The Flirts, and St. Regis. And I am still upset at the fact that Bill Conti's original score from The Karate Kid was not included in the soundtrack. Also the song "The Ride" by Matches is not included... you know the song as us Cobra Kai ride out bikes down to the beach. I could care less that Bananarama's "Cruel Summer" is not included however.

About me:

This is Bobby. Most of you would remember me from The Karate Kid where I was disqualified in the semi-final match in the All Valley Karate Tournament on December 19th, 1984. The year before I was runner-up. I've always been a nice guy really. I never stood for all that Cobra Kai had to offer. I only joined Cobra Kai and did karate because I was good at it, but never really had much enthusiasm for it. And Cobra Kai was the most prestigious dojo in all the Los Angeles area so I joined. I was always around my buddies Johnny, Tommy, Dutch, and Jimmy, (and Jerry, Billy, the uncredited member who is actually Elisabeth Shue's brother, and the fat guy of Cobra Kai) but never really wanted to take part in their bullying of others. You can see it in my face throughout the movie that I wasn't really happy fulfulling what Cobra Kai is all about, but I took the oath to be Cobra Kai. I was even faithful to my sensei John Kreese. I honestly think I was the best fighter in Los Angeles, but John wanted me to put Daniel Larusso out of commision in the semi-final match. I could have beaten Johnny I think, but he truly was the chosen one. He had the true aura of a champion. What was really unfortunate is, since I could have beaten Danny boy, we could have had an all Cobra Kai final like the year before (you can hear the announcer make mention of the all Cobra Kai final during the introduction of the semifinals), but John Kreese let his own personal feelings of hatred for Larusso get in the way. Either that or Kreese knew that Daniel would have beaten Johnny and he didn't want to take that risk, so he used me to put him out of commision. Cobra Kai could have remained tops in all of the Valley and remained the most distinguished dojo ever. I still don't understand why John Kreese and all my Cobra Kai buddies hated Daniel so much. I mean they would literally go out of their way to make Larusso's life hell. What did make me feel better is that my fellow Cobra Kai buddies came to realize what kind of person John Kreese was towards the end of the All Valley Tournament in 84. I could say "I told you so" to all of them, but I am an honorable individual. My full name is actually Bobby Brown.

Who I'd like to meet:

I would like to meet nice people who I can just be myself around and don't have to worry about being a bully because that is not my style. I would also like to catch up with Daniel Larusso so we can simply have a friendly match because I know I could have beat him in the tournament. And finally I would like to meet up with Terry Silver and Mike Barnes and show them that respect, honor, and true compassion are the way to victory and not ridiculous barbaric tactics.

Robert: PLEASE,get over yourself.Whats in the past is in the past.
It hurts like hell to get kicked in the knee like that,I was and I couldnt train nor compete in 8 years. How do you think that feels like to have that exact same kick crush your knee so you have to be carried out on a stretcher??I tell you this,it wasnt fun.
Not to mention the pain I was in.I only returned to the Karate a year ago,and belive me,I would love to match that bitch that did this to me again,I really would, but I got a wise Sensei that told me to question my motives before sending in any application to attend. The call I made is to pass.I will focus on my own students and see them fight a good match rather than fight for revenge.i only got one person to prove anything to:myself.I know Im good enough,I dont need to show it.
Now that is Balance and focus, and coming to terms and accepting the past.
I too would like for Bobby to match Daniel, but there is no telling what the outcome would be.
Bobby is still the only one of the Cobra Kais that has compassion for others, the rest of them lack that,Sensei Kreese in particular.
An oponent that has compassion for the one he is matching is in my eyes a true example of good sportsmanship, and should be honored accordingly.
Hope youll one day get the fame you deserve Bobby.

I still can't get over Daniel punching you in the face in the schoolyard during soccer practice. All you did was give him a little sideswipe with your leg. Sheesh--that Daniel was one drama queen. I know you could kick Daniel's arse for real-- anytime, anywhere and anyplace. If you still hear from Tommy, tell him I said Hi.

    Bobby

I read a little more about you here.
I know that you have found balance,it is not fair that you didnt get your rightfull place in the All Walley 84.
Did it ever occur to you that Sensei Kreese knew you were better than Johnny, and that a final match between you and Daniel could have turned either way???
Maybe Daniels victory was luck, but to me,when I rewiewed the scene in question, you can see Johnny is not focused, and Daniel is the oposite.Daniel knew his knee could not take another blow,so he goes with a teqniques Johnny is unprepared for.
If I was Daniel,Id do the same.
I know you didnt want to get disqualified, and you didnt want to hurt Daniel either. It must have been a shock to sensei Kreese that he returned to the ring with an injury like that.I would not know if I could have.
Continue to train, continue to learn, and teach your own students the true nature of your karate.
Belive me,there isnt a throphy in this entire world that can beat the satisfaction of seeing your own students grow and develop and teach your Karate and your values on to their own students.
