I have a million influences, but I would say a lot of the bands I love (Opeth, for example), don't really have any bearing on the music I actually make. At least not in a musical sense. However, I feel as though any emotionally charged music provokes new ideas within me. Anything that carries weight and honesty. Tori Amos is my biggest influence sound-wise, I think. However, bands like Anathema, Elbow, Katatonia and Hope Of The States inspire me with their astounding sensibilities.
Sounds Like
All of the comparisons people have made have horrified me (Delta Goodrem, Daniel Powter etc). Someone said it was like Keane, which isn't too bad. But I'd like to think it sounds like me. With a hint of Tori Amos. All that really matters is if it sounds good to people or not :)
Bobby Murray is a 17 year old Scottish pianist and songwriter. His music is heartfelt, and to the point. Music is what he lives for. He hopes you like his songs :)
He is also looking to become part of a band, as he was at one time. He believes that his vocals grow stronger by the day, and he doesn't doubt his capabilities as a lyricist (these have not yet been shown to their full potential).
