Bio

Meet Bobby Phillipps, a 21-year old man on a mission. The mission? Stop the war! Not just any war. Not the war in Iraq. All war, personal and global, and everything in between. His weapon of choice? The electric guitar, and whatever songs his imagination conjures.

Bobby's been playing guitar since he was 13, and is constantly learning new things about the instrument. Just when he thinks he's mastered it, he finds something new. He cites influences as far and wide as Stevie Ray Vaughan, Joe Satriani, Dream Theater, and Metallica, and has a penchant for playing hard and fast. He turns it up when the neighbors complain, and will not rest until he's heard. Even then, he won't stop.

Bobby currently works as guitarist and backup vocalist for local band Steel March, featuring Cheyenne favorite Juliet March, and Edge of Soul drummer Ron Straley. They play what they've dubbed themselves as "Hard and Aggressive Rock."

Bobby records all of his own music in his private home studio, which conveniently doubles as a bedroom. He is more than willing to give any tips on recording, just ask.

Enjoy the music, and keep on rockin'!

URGENT: Wanted Two Bands for Label Consideration

There is currently a search for two types of bands for record label consideration.

*** Note: PLEASE IDENTIFY IF YOU ARE IN GROUP 1 OR 2 IN THE SUBJECT LINE OF YOUR RESPONSE. Emails are being reviewed by different representatives.

1. A Pop/Rock/Commercial band with female lead. Band must consist of 2 guitars (Prefer both guitar players to be of lead caliber. However, one lead and one rhythm is acceptable), keyboard/piano, bass, and drums. Lead vocal, followed by backing vocals, in that order, is a plus as it relates to other members of the group. Average age of the band cannot exceed 28 years of age.

* Group must have an outstanding lead vocalist.
** Musicianship throughout the entire band must be very strong.
*** Group cannot currently be under any contract of any type that is related to the music industry.

2. A Modern Rock band with male lead. Must be a complete band but there are no prerequisites as it relates to the make up of the band. Average age of the band cannot exceed 23 years of age.

* Group must have an outstanding lead vocalist.
** Musicianship throughout the entire band must be very strong.
*** Group cannot currently be under any contract of any type that is related to the music industry.

XXX - If you meet the minimum qualifications as described above. Email a link for your MySpace Page and if applicable, a link for your website to: recordingartistsearch@gmail.com

Only send one email with your links. Due to the volume of responses normally received for these types of opportunities. After review of your material, you will only be contacted if there is an interest in attending one of your shows by a label representative. As such please to not send any follow up emails regarding selections. If you were not contacted back, there was not an interest.

Thank You.

You see, I think USB is my initial problem. If i use real MIDI on both ends and a PCI or PCI Express card then it's guaranteed to be fast.

The latency is hardly noticeable on my keyboard through my Korg software, but it's pretty bad if I run my drum kit through DFH.

When I get my new Korg, fo sho.

And I think I'ma get a new sound card that processes MIDI faster

so I can be like "hey latency, fük yü."

Drum&bass + progressive metal = Prog&Bass?

That sounded a lot cooler in my head.

How about:

You record the most brutal and dynamic mess of thrash and shred and math metal, send me the .ACD and .WAV files, and I'll lay down some breakbeat drum sections and some killer synth lines on it.
