Join us every Thursday for Open Mic Night! We provide 1 guitar amp and 2 microphones on the Rockets Stage for your use. Jump on up there and entertain us. All types of talent are welcome! Feel free to bring your own gear!
INTRODUCING ~VALENTINE~
Valentine is a highly talented singer songwriter from Mchenry, Illinois. Trained in classical piano from age eight and turned onto guitar by his father, Valentine possesses a remarkable ear for music. Influenced by classical, ragtime, folk, grunge and blues his songs are mature displays of beauty that radiate a relaxed confidence. An ambitious artist and winner of the Mchenry County College "Idol" Competition, Valentine crafts lovelorn melodies that ease their way into your subconscious and leave you humming them for days afterward. His gentle acoustic ballads are comparable to The Goo Goo Dolls & John Mayer but Valentine has a voice and a style all his own. Songs like "Seven Minutes In Heaven" are radio ready and polished without sacrificing their integrity. Currently singing and playing guitar in up-and-coming powerpop group, El Guapo and recording his solo EP entitled "Gone", Valentine is a busy man and a force to be reckoned with. Valentine will be appearing regularly at our Thursday night Open Mic Night! We are pretty jazzed about having him on the Rockets Stage as a regular and look forward to showcasing him in upcoming events.
MUSICIANS: Grab your gear and come on out! We provide mics and at least one guitar amp on the stage and run sound through our in house system.
