Bobby Roman's career in music spans over 20 years. He majored in music at the Bronx Community College and studied voice under the teaching of Enez Matthews. Aside from being a talented singer, he is also an accomplished musician, playing both acoustic guitar and percussion.
Bobby's knowledge and experience with all areas of music make him much sought after as a singer, songwriter and musician. He has worked with some of the greatest entertainers in the the music industry. Being a native New Yorker, he is bilingual and has performed with legendary artists as Tito Puentes, Celia Cruz, and Willie Colon. He has also worked with some of today's hottest Latin performers such as Jennifer Lopez, Tito Nieves, and the legendary lead singer of the Mavericks, Raul Malo.
Not only has he worked with great entertainers in Latin & Gospel music, but he has also worked with Jazz heavyweights such as Najee and the late Jorge Dalto. Additionally, he has an extensive background in Pop, R&B, and Hip-Hop with artists such as Force MD, Sixpense None The Richer and Cross Movement, to name a few.
Bobby is a featured singer on a song written by Andraé Crouch on the compilation album "Make Me Your Voice," produced by ken Tamplin. He has ministered with such well-known Gospel artists as BeBe & CeCe Winans, Damaris Carbaugh, Mia Amada, Bob Karlyle, and others. His name and talent is associated with the national project "The Book", a commercial recorded with Andraé Crouch, Aretha Franklin, MC Hammer, and Smokey Robinson.
After unsuccessfully trying to find happiness in the world, Bobby turned back to his faith-based roots and returned to the Lord with a fresh sense of gratitude and a new determination to glorify God with his talents.
He has since had the opportunity to serve in several churches as Worship Leader. Bobby's singing reveals a life given fully to the Lord and an abandonment that only occurs as the "Son sets us free." Some have referred to his music as music to bring in the harvest. his voice brings a distinct call to those who have strayed from the Lord and cry for total surrender and uncompromising love to the church. Although he has had the priviledge of working with many great entertainers, his claim to fame is not the names of those he has worked with, but the name of the Lord Jesus Christ that powerfully works through him with a strong anointing.
Andraé Crouch is quoted saying, "Bobby Roman has a fabulous anointed voice, and each time I have heard him sing, he sings like he is singing for the last time, with such energy and power". Bobby Roman, along with his wife Orfa, are also the Are Pastors of The Center in Tampa, have been married for 26 years and have five beautiful children. He has a passion for worshiping God and ministering to others through song, with Orfas love of Gods Word and her gift for teaching, they are a powerful team. Supporting the Senior Pastors at The Center in Tampa is a dynamic team that composes the Church that God is orchestrating today.

In my world of rock & pop music it's easy to forget the beauty of latin rhythms (though a big part of my life). I tend to say that good music is what makes you feel, or inspire for creativeness, a feeling that "man i wanna do that too" & the glimpse of your music did that to me.
