  • Bio

Bobby Stewart's music incorporates a wide range of stylistic elements, and has been described by critics as "unique" and "original." Stewart began his career performing and recording with various groups around the New York City area. One of his bands - Bobby Stewart and The I.D.'s - developed a cult following playing at clubs such as the legendary CBGB and Max's Kansas City. When The I.D.'s disbanded he signed with Warner Bros. Records as a solo artist and released "Copyright On Love", which charted nationally. Other successful recordings include "Bottom Of The Drum" and "Dark Side Of Love" on S.O.S Records. Throughout his various projects Stewart has worked with an array of great musicians that includes members of The Psychedelic Furs, Buzzcocks, The Roches and others who have played with artists such as The B-52's, Joe Jackson, Sting, Robyn Hitchcock and Chaka Khan. Stewart was also one of the original participants in the "Loser's Lounge" - a highly acclaimed series of songwriter tributes that continues to be performed in venues around New York City. In 2001 Stewart was invited by the Woody Guthrie Foundation to create music for, and perform in concert, previously unrecorded lyrics written by Woody Guthrie, and in October of 2003 he released Volume One of a planned series of limited edition CD's entitled "Live In New Amsterdam" on Plan B Music. Other projects include a track entitled "Happy Holiday," recorded with his band The Contraires for the "Holiday Heart" benefit CD which was released in November of 2005. The CD also features tracks by Ron Sexsmith, Rick Derringer and Prof. Louie & The Crowmatix amongst others. 2008 finds Stewart in the role of Executive Producer for The Keith Reid Project's CD, "The Common Thread." The CD is a collection of songs that Keith has written outside of his work with Procol Harum ("A Whiter Shade Of Pale"). The CD features vocal performances by John Waite, Southside Johnny and Terry Reid amongst others. For more information about The Keith Reid Project, go to: http://www.rockville-music.com/ Contact: B. Sending SATURDAY LOVE and LAUGHS Bobby!

A Lawyer in a Mousetrap  - They Left $$Cash$$ as Bait

TODAY'S THOUGHT IS ABOUT LAWYERS ...

How do you get a lawyer down from a tree?  Easy - just cut the rope."

"It was so cold last week that I saw a couple of lawyers with their hands in their OWN pockets."

"How was copper wire invented?  Two lawyers got hold of a penny at the same time."

"How many lawyers does it take to screw in a lightbulb?  How many can you afford?"

"The two partners in a law firm were having lunch when suddenly one of them jumped up and said, "I have to go back to the office - I forgot to lock the safe!" The other partner replied, "What are you worried about? WE'RE BOTH HERE."

"How does a lawyer go to sleep at night?  Easy - first he LIES on one side, then he LIES on the other."

LAUGHTER IS THE SPICE OF LIFE!

With LOVE, RESPECT, and PEACE my friend,

    Richard
