Rockin' Bob
About Bob Cenci:
Bob currently plays in a band called the Wynotts, who include members of the Killer Abs and Underball.. 80's Punkish Pop. However, over the years Bob has written many a tune.. and has played in more than an armful of bands that stretch across decades.. He's traveled and also has shared the road & stage with a variety of bands.. But what is held dear are the acoustic songs which he keeps close and always manages to preserve their rawness and simplicity.. These melodies that stick and cling along the path of life are also accompanied by an abrasive musical style which one might equate to a string of tin cans being dragged across gravel.. In short he's been playing many a year and sees no stops ahead.. But maybe one day he will take a rest under a shady spot.. So until that day arrives stop in and give a listen and don't forget to cherish the moment.
My One Affliction by Bob Cenci
If one day I were to lose my sight,
Would you still want to see me?
And I may not hear so well,
Could you repeat those words I love?
Without your touch my senses go dull..
You fix my one affliction,
You fill that empty spot in the center of my heart,
You ease this condition,
As the shadows of loneliness drift apart,
If I lose all sense of direction,
Could you place your hands upon the steering wheel?
This road that we travel, has got some obstacles,
Turbulent twists and turns,
And life's full of hatred, loves lost, lessons learned,
You fix my one affliction,
You fill that empty spot in the center of my heart,
You ease this condition,
As the shadows of loneliness drift apart,
Some folks prefer to remain stationary,
Never flinching, never blinking,
Seems like their hardly thinking,
Stuck out on the sofa,
Watching the television sinking,
And to those who seem quite ordinary,
They got stirred up imaginations,
Hanging on the wildest of dreams,
Let's just sit here for while,
And be what we can be,
You fix my one affliction,
You fill that empty spot in the center of my heart,
You ease this condition,
As the shadows of loneliness drift apart,
I see your glimmer shining in every star,
You can rest your weary head in my arms.
