   About Bob Hillman
In a music world increasingly compartmentalized into tiny musical pigeonholes, Bob Hillman's songs live in several neighborhoods at once. Hillman's third album, "If You Lived Here, You'd Be Home," bears the melodic hooks and infectious feel of power-pop, the rootsy, organic vibe of Americana rock, and the conceptual heft and lyrical insight of the singer/songwriter. With sharp social satire that harkens back to vintage Kinks and a literary bent as book-smart as the Decemberists but as heartfelt as Elliott Smith, Hillman delivers concise, punchy tunes short on pretense and long on wit and wisdom.

Hey guys,

I'm hitting the road in a couple of weeks to raise money for War Child,
Coast-to-coast – 50 cities – ALL PROCEEDS TO WARCHILD. Why? 66% of all
war victims are CHILDREN. Shocked like me? War Child helps these
children that have been affected by war. Check out the new blog – the
whole story is up there. Love to have you be a part of it.

You’ll find a Blog, Tour page and a Bio page. I’ll be blogging daily from the road.

http://www.liamtitcomb.com/warchild/

I've also got this “widget” for a FREE download of 5
songs. Please send it on to your peeps – to help raise awareness of War
Child and the tour.

You can also embed this widget in your facebook, myspace etc. I’d really appreciate that.

We have permission from Sony ATV publishing to give the songs away from now till the end of the tour... So let’s work it.

Thanks,

-Liam

Hi, Bob, my palindrome-titled friend. I've been enjoying your latest album in recent months. My personal favorite is probably "Light-Hearted Years"
The song "Secret Handshake" hits close to home as I continue to network for jobs and attempt to get interviews. My Master's degree has not helped me as much as I'd hoped it would as I try to break through. I can't wait to see you again when you're back in Ohio. Who knows...maybe someday you'll make it big on American Idol.
Just kidding :^/

Here and I thought I was so cool, counting Al Stewart and John Wesley Harding (yes, Wes) and Steve Forbert- oh excuse me, I just dropped another name, in an (inevitably futile) attempt to semi-impress-but YOUR friends are REALLY cool. I just discovered you (from NPR's story about Tolstoy) and am fascinated by your wit and very very dry sense of humour (please note Anglophiliac spelling). If you were any drier you'd be a martini. Anyway, thanks for letting me into your friends circle.
"Bolted Down" is playing right now- can I buy an apparatus? Cheers,
Leslie

from the misheard-lyrics-dept... for the longest time I thought you were singing 'Rufus Heartattacker' and imagined a kind of grim reaper character 'slowly creeping up on me'. Geez, I need to get out more.

I have been holding out on listening to all of your latest album until I become settled in my own life. I'd like IF YOU LIVED HERE, YOU'D BE HOME to be the first thing I listen to when I do have a new home--probably around Cleveland, where I saw you perform with Suzanne Vega back in 2001.

Hi Bob, I really like "War of Independence." I can hear what sounds to me like a New York influence in the guitar part - it's really good!

Dude, I am SO sorry you were busted for illegally downloading all of those Barry Manilow songs. I mean, he's great and all, but was it really worth it? Think about your career for god's sake...
