Influences
Entirely too many influences to list completely, but they include, among others: Bonnie Rait, Billy Holliday, Joni Mitchell, Carol King, The Eagles, The Beatles, Journey, and just about every Motown Artist ever recorded.
Bobi Thomas & Mac Elsensohn have been writing songs together since they first met in Los Angeles, California. Mac moved from Los Angeles to Denver, Colorado where he formed the Country-Rock band "Cahoots". He produced their first and only album, which enjoyed both local and radio success. Mac later moved to Nashville, Tennessee to continue his already-well-established career as a studio drummer/musician, and Bobi moved out to join him several years later. Today they are very happily married and live just outside Nashville, Tennessee on a small farm, where they continue to write and record. Bobi's first CD "Love and Other Miracles" was released in 2000. Her newest CD "Down On The Boulevard" will be available for sale July 2006. Both CDs are available for purchase via the "www.bobithomas.com" site. If you are interested in recording any of their music, you may contact them there. All of their songs are available thru their publishing company Elsensongs (ASCAP).
I need to warn the innocent that you were associated with The Heritage Folk Theatre in San Diego. WE remember you, even if you pretend to forget, and even though the statute of limitation has passed on 60's musical war crimes. And, I intend to put your music out there whenever I can as an abject warning to all that history can and will repeat itself if we're lucky.
Hey Bobi, Hello to you and Mac. Thinking about you guys, we really have to get together someday soon. I've been loving all the music you've been posting. Very best wishes for much success!
