Influences
Pretty much covered in the bio. I can honestly say ANYTHING is an influence. Music resonates, it lives, it breathes - there is something that can be taken from all of it. And not just music, but life, art, those things around us - ALL should influence whatever our passion may be.
Sounds Like
I've heard too many things for this to be of any use. Of course, anyone's goal is for someone to hear a song and say, "Hey, that sounds like you!"

I was born outside Detroit, Michigan in 1969 - the year they walked on the moon and the year Sesame Street went on the air. Pre-destined for a life of pop culture and trivia. Born in '69, the youngest child, also means being raised musically with my siblings in the '60's hangover (so I got great records from The Beatles, Creem, Santana, and Hendrix), hearing the '70's come to life on radio (Led Zeppelin, The Who, Billy Joel, Elton John, and, of course, disco), and coming to age in the '80's (which, despite popular belief, had its moments - John Mellencamp, Prince, Big Country, Crowded House, U2). College at Michigan State in the late 80's and 90's meant REM and The Cure, Love and Rockets, Nine Inch Nails, and Toad The Wet Sprocket.
I have been lucky enough to play, produce, and engineer for nearly all of my working life. I am thankful for everyone I have played with, heard, seen, listened to, or who spent time with me after a show. I learn from everyone and anything I can.
I am now in Northern Indiana, where I live with my very patient and understanding family, playing solo shows, writing and recording prolifically (mostly in my basement), and also playing with the band The Minor Profits.
