. Bob Masucci. is a performing drummer and drum teacher from Roselle Park, New Jersey. He studied privately under various teachers including Ron Spagnardi from 1974-77, who then, owned a local music store, The Music Scene, on Broad street in Bloomfield, New Jersey. Ron Spagnardi is well known for creating the famed Modern Drummer Magazine and was a big influence on Bob and inspiration to become a teacher himself. Others were John Schlesinger of JS drum studio from 1977-80, in Maplewood, NJ.,and, attending Kean College, percussion studies were with Paul Price. Also, he studied with Joe Nevola of Big Beat Drum Studio in Neptune, NJ, and is currently studying guitar and jazz theory & concepts with Sandy Renda of Belleville, NJ (www.sandyrenda.com)....You're never done learning.
. Currently Bob teaches from his home studio in Roselle Park. He has been teaching drums since 1995. His teaching program focuses on developing reading skills as well as drumset and classical percussion techniques. Many of Bob's supplemental lesson sheets are available for downloading from his website www.RMDrumstudio.com
. Bob has been performing steady on the club scene since the early 80's with various bands, playing many different styles. The Cycles was a Top 40 dance band, playing many of the larger dance clubs of the times, there he learned if you can get your audience up & moving on the dance floor, you're doing it right! From the top 40 scene Bob moved to the original clubs with The Hammers (www.hammersband.com). Over twenty years together, The Hammers (Ira Spinrad, Dom Z & Bob) play local clubs on a steady basis. Mixing blues, R&B, soul, a little funk, and rockabilly, again with the concept, keep the audience up & dancing and your doing it right. While always with The Hammers, Bob has played with many other bands on the original/coverband circuit including eight years with Better Off Dead, a jump blues band based in Jersey city(www.betteroffdead.com) These guys are good friends and call on Bob for fill-in gigs with them from time to time.
. Currently, Bob is playing steady with Brian Clayton and the Green River Band (www.brianclayton.com). BC&GRB is a country dance band, mixing originals, standards & contemporary country dance covers. BC&GRB plays at many of the Northeast country nightclubs & dance halls including steady gigs at Bally's Wild Wild West Casino in Atlantic City, NJ. The band also works with the Colgate Country Showdown, a nationwide country music performing competition, as backing band for contestants on local and state level competitions.
. Bob has recorded with numerous bands, The Hammers, Better Off Dead, The Booglerizers, The Parasites (Punch Lines) and Brian Clayton & the Green River Band are a few and some tracks are in the songs player above.
Bob is available for performing, studio recording, and fill in situations.
Thank you.
I’ve been a music journalist for more than 10 years. Over the years, many artists and managers have asked me what the best way to break into the European music market is.
Here are some things you can do:
Publish artist press releases, news, and tour dates to the CountryHome Forum on MySpace, http://groups.myspace.com/CountryHomeMagazine , CountryHome Forum is part of CountryHome, http://www.CountryHome.de , Germany's Premier Country Music Online Magazine. Everything you publish to the CountryHome Forum will be published in my weekly Newsletter which has over 80,000 readers.
Send me CDs and DVDs for review and set up an artist interview with me. All reviews and interviews will be submitted to the magazines I'm writing for. More information for which magazines I'm writing can be found at http://www.MySpace.com/ChristianLamitschka
Upload artist videos to http://www.MyVideo.de and http://www.ClipFish.de . Both websites are like http://www.YouTube.com and uploading videos is free. The websites are completely in German. If you don’t speak German and need assistance, I will help you open an account and upload a video for 25 Euro. Each additional video upload for the same artist name and at the same video website is 10 Euro.
If you have more questions about the European music market or about any of the information I send to you today, please contact me at Ch.Lamitschka@t-online.de too.
