WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING ABOUT BOB MOSS
"Bob Moss is a true diamond in a world of zirconium" - Dan Clowes (Ghost World, Eightball)
"Bob Moss plays at life by ear. He does wonderful things with the secret Deseret Alphabet of the Latter Day Saints (LDS--not to be confused, as sometimes happens, with LSD). His art work has a kind of not-of-this-earth feel, whether it’s on paper, wood or, like a beautiful piece he made for me, from a desert gourd. You should be warned--You will not get to heaven unless you buy his CDs. His art, his songs and his CDs are like a breadcrumb trail to heaven. So keep an eye on this guy." - Tom Rapp (Pearls Before Swine)
NOTE: Bob Moss does not have a computer, but does receive his MySpace messages. If you have an urgent need to contact Bob, send a message to Randy (see friend list). Please put "URGENT" in the subject line and include your telephone number. Thanks.
Bio coming soon... In the meantime, check out Bob's blogs.
UPDATE November 13 2006: Posted a new blog and a new song: Tom Rapp's (Pearls Before Swine) "Every Change Is Release" from my Folknik II CD. Check out the cover art by Rick Altergott ("Doofus")!
UPDATE JULY 21, 2006: Added new photos of Bob and his art: pieces from his Gilgal, Teton and fairy demon collections, plus a Sinatra piece he created with Charles Schneider, an LA artist who created the art for Art School Confidential.
Hi. This is Richard L., the big gooo. Long time - no see. Hey, I'm trying to send to you some old recordings that I’ve have that I’ve been "saving" (digitizing) - old cassettes and reel-to-reel tapes before they completely deteriorate and disintegrate. Beanie y la Tough Guy stuff and especially, what I have prepared, Miss Vi-o-late, performing "Me 'n My Sofa", now is become an MP3 file, but I don’t know how to send it, or any of the other little precious delights, to you. But I will figure it out soon. So. toot-la-root, in the name of Princes Golly. :] @... Rich.
"Moses said "I would that all the Lord's people were prophets." Well, I wish all people were artists. Not necessarily pretentious pallette-weilding artists, but maybe a reader of depth and feeling, a good cook, a listener of deep sympathy & understanding. I'd like it where there was no need for a Tonight Show because interesting "stars" were everywhere."
