Singer/songwriter Bob Nicholson, a veteran musician, from the New Jersey Highlands area has been performing his “American Acoustic” music throughout the tri state area. From the time of his first audition on the “Ted Mack’s Amateur Hour”, Bob has enjoyed playing guitar in various popular local bands. After failed attempts to put a working band together, at the persuasion of a friend, Bob reluctantly attended an open mic and played some of his songs. Since then, Bob has continued playing solo, opening or sharing the bill with artists such as Sloan Wainwright, The Kennedy’s, Cliff Eberhardt, John Sheehan and others.
Also an accomplished producer/recording engineer, Bob is the proprietor of a multimedia group, Hyde Music, which consists of a recording studio, music publishing (ASCAP) and an independent record label.
Hiya Bob..good to hear from ya! yeah we made it through another Winter ok..it was the BEST! First one i have had off in 40 years!! Busy busy workin' on the homestead but also found time to finally finish my blues/rock album. Posting a new tune weekly over at my SC site. Also did a collab with my friend Gabe Stenziano(also from Jersey years ago). Sent him some dulcimer and he wrote a song around it. Our dairy goats are due to freshen in a week. Gonna start milking and cheese making. Oughta be a trip! How was your winter? Writing new songs? I just heard one from a guy in Washington. Hiya Bob...Just droppin' by to say hi and ask a small favor. A very old friend with whom i worked 5 nights a week in a band back in the early eighties has just gotten back into music after 18 years. I got him to open a page here and at SC. He just finished his first cd (i sold him my Fostex VF80) and Farrell mastered it for him.
