Bob Petrocelli is a NYC based multi-instrumentalist, singer, and songwriter. Currently, Bob is leading his own band after working as a sideman or collaborator for many years with a wide variety of artists in multiple genres. Bob's new CD "Shanghai Shuffle", released 8/08 has received radio airplay in 16 countries to date. Songs from the CD have been played in over 250 markets worldwide, including the US, Canada, Europe, Australia and South America. These markets include syndicated blues programs, terrestrial, and web based broadcasts. The CD has been listed as number 41 of the Top 100 New Blues CD releases by "Real Blues Magazine" (Canada). Bob's writing has also received Honorable Mention in the 15th Billboard World Song Contest for the song "Gulf Coast Blues" from the CD. The most recent Robert Charels release "Three Leg Dogs and Old Skool Cats", with Bob on guitar and produced by Michael Hill, released in May 2007 has also received considerable airplay on blues and roots radio outlets nationwide. Bob's writing contribution to the CD, the song "Hey Shellena" was the first to receive airplay, heard on the nationally syndicated "Blues Deluxe" radio hour with a market of over 100 stations nationally and internationally . The song has been re-recorded on "Shanghai Shuffle". Bob also performs as a freelance guitarist, bassist, and occasional keyboard player (particularly Hammond style organ) with various blues, r&b, rock, doo wop and jazz groups as his schedule permits. Bob will also be playing guitar with jazz saxophonist Richard Brinka's group on their next CD, due 2009. In addition to all the above, when not working on other freelance projects, Bob is involved in the production of instrumental music for commercial and media applications.
