..............BOB REMINGTON: GUITAR, VOCALS FOR THE BAND ZIPPERHEAD, ROLLOVER,THE SMOKING FISH, MOON CRICKETS & THE TURNSTYLES .............. **************************************************************** His/Story- In his home town of Lake Bluff, IL Robert Graham Remington started out playing guitar for a local band called the Wana Bez . Later they renamed the band Highway Child playing in Chicago clubs like The Metro, Lounge Axe, The Avalon, Orphans, Traffic Jam , Biddy Mulligan's, Shades to name a few; sharing the stage with The Insiders, Skid / The Way Moves, Graham Elvis / The Elvis Brother's, Dick Holliday & The Bamboo Gang , Scott Bennett and the Obviouse, Down Town Scotty Brown. Later in the late 90's the band got the oportunity to open for Dave Mason , Adrien Belew & The Bears, Stepenwolf ( thanks Roger!) Big head Todd & The Monsters, Molly Hatchett, Missing Persons, Quiot Riot, Smashing Pumpkins, Something Brothers, Phantom Helmsmen, Rollover, WishBone Ash, not exactly in that order ........ whew! After the lead singer moved to GA , Bobby made the band into a trio and renamed the band Zipperhead. www.myspace.com/zipperheadrocks They released thier 1st disc 6 in 1994. Recorded at Idful Studios in Wickerpark, Chicago with Casey Rice ( Liz Phair /Brad Wood) the band left the recording unmixed due to the lack of cash. You can still listen to the recording / Disc in this state and many enjoy it this way. Zipperhead has a new Disc out called "Key Of Z " recorded at Ambush Studios, Northfield, IL. www.ambushrecordings.com. Fills in sometimes with JoePublic and has been known to book gigs under GoBobbygo Productions. Bobby is also the founding member of the up and coming goof band "JimBob" (along with Jim of course) .
