Bob Sirois began his musical journey at age sixteen and spent much of his early years as a rock & roll guitarist with the Connecticut band Under The Rose. Inspired by the legendary John Denver, Sirois redirected his efforts toward Acoustic Folk music and became a highly trained Folk/New Age guitarist. During his career Bob has composed, arranged and produced dozens of songs that ultimately led to a worldwide publishing/recording deal with Attack Records and Cherry Lane Music in 2002. Since then, Sirois has arranged, orchestrated and produced three solo instrumental Christmas albums titled, A Hometown Christmas (2002), Dreams of Christmas (2005), A Christmas Melody (2008) and Rocky Mountain Christmas - A Tribute To John Denver (2009). In 2006, Bob also produced a full length Christmas DVD titled "Dreams of Christmas" containing many of the tracks from his first two Christmas albums. Dear friend Bob Sirois: Stark knocked out and beguiled by the beauty of your "Carol songs" repertoire I feel myself humbled and passionate to death. Your "Christmas Eve Lullaby" with that angelical flute standing out, "Carol of the bells" is to me a divine atmosphere and "Coventry Carol", this lovely majestic acoustic instrumental of yours did touch me on the raw, so I decided to pick it out as being my best-loved musical number... with a few regrets of course, as the other songs are all a wonder as well. My congratulations and may you find out any interest in my provincial music, mostly in my song "Dia de Folia" which is actually a "Merrymaking", as it is seen here in the wild west of Minas Gerais, heartland of Brazil. We merrymakers, everyone self-taught musicians, go from house to house, playing six acoustic guitars, accordion, bigdrum, tambourine and fiddle and singing a passionate long, melodious touchy melody, the lyrics of which as usual, reading of Baby Jesus being born and visited by the Three Wise Men, at the stable. All of the donations allured will be made in means so that a party can be thrown in a pre-chosen home through drawing lots. All the people and their kinfolks whose homes were visited, will be invited to attend such an important social gathering. I've seen these folias since the early 50's when I was a little country lad, ingenuous, innocent and rural to the backbone. I hope you like it, truly I'd like so much to hear your comments regarding this very song, may I count on you? Please, accept a fraternal and musical embrace from your admirer down here in Minas Gerais, heart of Brazil,
