Robert Solone, (b. 1950) Chicago, began studying violin at nine and piano at twelve. He performed for a short time with the rock band, "Ides of March". In college, began his performance career, playing in nightclubs.
Robert began composing in the 1980’s and studied with William Ferris, Bernard Brindel, Robert Dvorak, and in New York with Leo Edwards. Solone premiered his "Introduction and Fantasia for Piano and String Orchestra" at Carnegie Recital Hall.
In 2003, he completed "Tango" for piano; "Prayer for Oboe and Strings; "Aurora Borealis" for Orchestra and Shackahachi; and a musical comedy, "LOVE IN THE MIDDLE AGES: A Baby Boomer’s Guide to Luv & Sex" His latest CD, "TANGO: Original Works" (2006) is available on amazon.com and cdbaby.com
