Hailing from Mexico city, Bocafloja strives in search of alternative forms of classic hip hop structure in the form of MC. Bocafloja uses Hip Hop as an educational model and free style poetry as a resource. Lyrics that critically judge social, political, everyday life and even the artist’s own contradictions, without dogmatizing yet with strict firmness. Without limiting art to four elements or pigeonholing the struggle in a pamphlet. Art in resistance. With an international vision from the most populated city in the world Bocafloja maintains a comprehensive position that would never forget that which differentiates us.
With four solo albums, the production of two compilation albums, one published book and presence on stages that extend all over Latin America and the United States: from SOB'S in New York to the cultural center bank of brazil in Rio de Janeiro, from Venezuela to Cuba, from Puerto Rico to the Dominican Republic, from east L.A to Paris. —without omitting the innumerable appearances throughout México, during 12 years of constant activity in the Hip Hop scene—Bocafloja was presented with the DJ & Clubbing Awards’ Hip Hop Artist of the Year Award 2006 in Mexico, and "el manual de la otredad" as the best hip hop album of the year by budweiser's indie-o awards in 2008. Bocafloja has shared the stage with such artists as Dead Prez, Afu-Ra, Ozomatli, Brasil's finest Mv bill, J-live, Freestyle Fellowship, Immortal Technique, K'naan, Rascalz, Intifada, Actitud Maria Marta, and SieteNueve, among others.
Founder of QUILOMBOARTE, an organization that seeks to produce cultural events in which HIP HOP functions as an educational tool and an essential collaborative adhesive to social and political leftist movements in the processes of transformation throughout Mexico and Latin America.

Un disco que contiene 17 tracks mezclados, muy dinámico y alegre lleno de sonidos reggae jungle, con lo cual no solo muestra su faceta como productor sino también su talento como dj. De los 17 tracks 11 son de su propia producción con colaboración de algunos productores como Bandulu Dub y Mike tm , reconocidos mc..s como Demolition Man y Mega Zimze y remixes a canciones de otros productores como Son de Yara y Macky Gee, los otros 6 temas son de reconocidos productores de la escena que apoyan a Maya en este proyecto entre ellos cave mencionar a Marcus Visionary, Benny Page, Mooncat, Dj Bubb y Krak in Dub. La finalidad de este disco es acercar el drum and bass y el jungle a la gente de Latinoamérica en un formato más accesible y de fácil reproducción, como lo es el CD, esto es un esfuerzo por desmitificar la idea errónea que el drum and bass aun es un género experimental y underground solo accesible a poco público. La fiesta de presentación se llevará acabo el próximo 11 de julio de 2009 en el nuevo SALÓN CALAVERA ubicado en tacaba 64 col. Centro México D. F. Evento que contará con 2 áreas musicales el MAIN ROOM con sonidos reggae y jungle y el AREA 2 enfocada a sonidos soul, deep y dark del drum and bass, el line up es el siguiente:
