I am writing with my final thank you to the cast of our 35th Anniversary production Jesus Christ Superstar. A success that surpassed even the impossibly high standards I consistently set the studios from each production to the next. Full of professionalism both on and off the stage, with an incredible cast complimented by the real raw emotion flooding the Wyllyotts that many actors never truly manage to achieve.
Not only did we do so proud the memory of those that took to stages before in the name of Bodens, we moved an audience and left them with a lasting memory of just how good a show can be.
I doubt I'll ever forget Jo’s emotion on the last line of her song on Friday night, Charlie’s laryngitis fuelled evil rock voice, the boom of Dickon, Elliott’s American soul, Jamie’s ‘I don’t know him’, Andrew’s top D in Mystify and Stuart’s last breath on Saturday night. For those cast members that are current students, please keep your standards at the great height you have recently risen to until we begin another climb, and for those students of past, good luck with your futures, and I hope in some way, Bodens will be a part of it again, at some other crossroads in your lives.
