We
offer bodyboarding lessons for all ability levels and all ages.
The lessons can be as laid back or as formal as you like, with the emphasis
being on learning in a fun, no pressure environment.
We run lessons all year round in and around Newquay in Cornwall, the
more that you book the cheaper the lessons become and we offer the opportunity
to hone your skills in Lanzarote during our winter trips.
Bodyboarding offers a more accessible option to catching waves than
surfing, it’s safer and the rewards come much quicker, whilst
to master the sport at the top end the skill level is just as high as
surfing.

We hope that the following information will help clear up any questions
that you may have about Rob Barbers bodyboard coaching.
Who can learn to bodyboard?
Literally anybody, as long as you can swim. If you’re younger
than eight you need to be accompanied by a parent or guardian as well.
The upper age limit is open to anybody that feels they fancy a go. The
lessons are pitched at a suitable level for each persons ability. Our
coaching caters for complete novices that have never been in the sea
before all the way up to professional standard riders. Our team of coaches
includes European bodyboard champ Lisa Cutts.
Where do you hold lessons?
The bodyboard school is based in Newquay. We will occasionally use the
facilities of the the English Surfing Federation Surf School where there
are changing rooms and a secure place to leave valuables. We try to
be flexible (and use a variety of different beaches) to get the best
out of the conditions on any given day though.
How much do they cost?
A singlebodyboard lesson costs £24.95. They last for approximately
two hours, included in the price is instruction, insurance and equipment.
The more lessons that you book, and the more people in the group the
cheaper the price becomes, please call Rob to discuss the range of discounts
that are available.

to exit 31 and then the A30 to Bodmin, Newquay is then sign posted.

daily service to Newquay.
