Whats there to say about the body? They epitomize the music scene in SLC, which itself is brimming over the edges with talent. The Body is a Salt Lake based band that features members from California and Salt Lake City. The Body fuses Dub Reggae Rock rhythms in a revolutionary way. The Body has been featured in such venues as Harry-O's (Park City), The Urban Lounge, Monks House of Jazz, Vortex, Burt's Tiki Lounge, Ego's, Todd's, Snowbird Pavilion, Hard Rock Cafe, Liquid Joe's and The Lazy Moon. Tito and Cache, as they are known for better or worse in some places, are the latest additions to the group, whereas Sam, Tige, and Adam
have been the core BODY members since the beginning, experimenting with hip hop emcees Lokal and Mimic of the Deadbeats, as well as producer Clayton Carr on their debut album CALL OFF THE SEARCH. It has that hiphop-funk-dub-drum&bass-jungle sound that records and producers capture, yet the band was able to convey it live. That album won accolades and praises in all the local rags, as well as generating a small buzz in the electronic music scene. The Body is in the process of recording an eagerly anticipated sophmore album. 2007 appears to be a promising year for the band, they have a new line up and a new sound. Becoming one of the bands that are quickly defining the GLOBAL ROCK sound.

About the Author
Martin Faulks has been a student of the oriental martial arts since he was five years old. He has a black belt in the Korean martial art, Kuk Sool Won and is proficient in the mystical disciplines of China including Tai Chi, Meditation, Qi Gong and the legendary form of Yi Jin Jing.
