We are a mixed (men and women) border morris team based in Sheffield, England.
We welcome new members. If you are interested in joining (as a dancer or musician) please come along to practice on a Monday night, 8 pm in the capel building at Burton Street Centre, 57 Burton Street, Sheffield, S6 2HH. Possibly best to phone or e-mail before you come in case we're not practicing that week... see below for details.
We are also available for festivals, carnivals, wild parties, etc, (public or private). Please contact us if you are interested in having us at your event. For more information of any kind, contact:
Beware the peakland spooklights
Beware the lights of blue
Make sure your nighttime wanderings
are not the death of you
Don't turn aside,
don't leave the track
For once you've spotted us,
there's no turning back
Through bog and mire,
through pool and pond
Sunk in swamps
and depths beyond
O'er hill and crag,
strange lights of blue
Wild boggarts now
will dance for you...

Poem 2 of 230, WalkaboutsVerse (please see my blog): WALKABOUT WITH MY PEN
Once drove an old sedan, up north, From a place in Sydney to Cairns; Then to Kuranda I went forth, By train, to look without set plans.
I browsed through the trendy market, With fresh fruits of tropical kind; Walked to the creek through lush thicket - Nature’s hand giving peace of mind.
I dined in a scenic cafe; Then, outside, as I wrote for yen, Some passing Kooris called-out: “Hey, You go walkabout with your pen.”
Request or question, I don’t know - Assured voices, elderly men. That’s now several years ago, And I’ve seen the world - with my pen.
Helloooo.. Thanks for adding us, You are awesome... Jo says so, and she knows a great morris side when she sees one. Cheers from all at The Cidershed, Norwich.
Thanks for adding me you lovely Boggarty people. Hope you like the pics, I can't remember how many I uploaded, but there are some from Norwich. What a fantastic scene when you all came through the Arcade. You brought the sun with you. Cheers, Jo.

Liam was sadly missed on Bluebell Hill this morning, hope he managed to get his carcass out of bed this morning for you !!
We'll be gentle with him at the weekend, though as it's his Birthday, he may be on a mission !
...and to return the comment, hello from Edinburgh. I'll see you in Holmfirth: we're not dancing there but I'm performing with the Jake Thackray Experience
