Abba, Tina Turner, Patsy Cline, Heart, Pat Benatar, Cher, Madonna, Prince, Queen, Led Zeppelin, Def Leppard, Bon Jovi, Van Halen, U2, Verve, Stone Temple Pilots, Taylor Dayne, Anastasia, Ray Charles, Billy Holiday, BB King, Thelonius Monk, Mahalia Jackson, Michael Jackson, En Vogue, TLC, Boyz 2 Men, Aretha Franklin, Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey, etc.
I grew up in a musical family. My parents and my grandparents sang. As a child, I would fall asleep to the lulabies of my Grandma only to wake up in the middle of the night and discover my Mom watching Tina Turner live on TV. Sometimes I have pictures in my mind of Mom and Dad dancing in the kitchen to Ray Charles' "I Can't Stop Loving You". I love this song! (but I also love "Hit the Road Jack!"). My family went hiking in the mountains almost every weekend and Dad would always carry a battery-powered tape recorder and tapes with a bunch of bands I did not know the names of. Years later, I found out I have been listening to the Beatles, the Platters, the Animals, the Mamas and the Papas, Abba, the Eagles, etc. Anytime I heard music, I was ready to twist and shout, Dad would always say: "Boggie, are you ready to Boogie?"
I never imagined that I would be a singer-songwriter one day. I just always loved music. I would play my piano every morning after I wake up and every night before I go to sleep. I always had music in my head. I am just a walking "whole note" with a bunch of "quarter notes" in between! About 7 years ago, my life changed. I embarked on a journey to achieve musical stardom. I relocated to New York City dreaming and hoping that one day my face will shine on a huge billboard in the middle of Time Square (what a fool!). It has been a long walk, filled with hundreds of performances in small unknown venues throughout the city, thousands of auditions for real and phantom record labels, sleepless nights of full-time jobs, part-time jobs and recording studio work. I have come to realize how demanding and difficult it is to be a performing artist and how great it is to love what you do without thinking about the outcome. The reality of hard work, constant writing and recording has very little to do with the cover of "Vogue". But I love it, I love every minute of working on a new song and presenting it to the public! I feel blessed that I can turn my computer on and create something different every day! I thank God for giving me the inspiration to write, record and perform my original tunes, and I sincerely hope that you will enjoy them!

In the 1880's, the word "pants" was a dirty word in England.
In 2005, at the Weavers School in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire, kids were permitted to swear at the teachers using the f-word a MAXIMUM of five times in one lesson.
However, if they go over the limit, they will be: "spoken to."
