Formed in Monterey, California, BOG IRON has been launching their own brand of pure Celtic rock fury since early 2008. By taking the essence of the traditional Irish song, stripping it down to its purest form, and remolding it into an aggressive gem of Hard Rock energy, the BOG transports the Irish folk sound into the present—and beyond!
BOG IRON puts on a fierce live show, complete with wild sing-along choruses, anthemic rebel songs, and epic originals. As the waves of rock-n-roll overwhelm you, listen for the subtle and not-so-subtle hints of…Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, AC/DC, Metallica, Guns N Roses…and more! BOG IRON is backed by the thunderous rhythm section of Steve Lenard (drums) and Peter Sheehan (bass), and fronted by Patrick Golden’s searing guitar work and John Michael’s soaring vocal acrobatics.
In addition to headlining, BOG IRON has shared the stage with bands such as Seneca (from Ireland), Forrest Day, Whiskey Galore, and the Galway Hooker Band!
