FRIENDING ME.
Just a quick note about friending me. If I don't know you or have never talked to you, I'm sorry but I will have to deny your friend request unless you are an organization that I resonate with. Please do e-mail me if you read my profile and see that we share common beliefs or outlooks on life. If I agree, then I'll be happy to friend you so that we can continue to learn from each other.
I'm not interested in a love connection either. br />Only positive energy reinforcing friends need request to be added.
Thanks so much for understanding!!!!
Sabrina

...we are all just sojourners here...
on this round orb that we call Mother Goddess Earth
spiritual beings practicing being human
rather than human beings practicing being spiritual
This concept resonates very deeply with me
although I do have to keep reminding myself
that what is here in this moment is just that - momentary.
I can choose to surround myself with negativity - negative people, negative thoughts, negative energy OR I can choose to surround myself with the positive - positive people, positive thoughts, positive energy.
I choose positive.

My sojourn here is just that -
a journey through a very brief lifetime
that will lead me to the death of this physical body
and into eternity.
What I do here during my visit can be
productive and thoughtful
or it can be counter-productive and wasteful.
I choose productive and thoughtful.

I am an animist. I believe there is a spirit within everything. The Maori believe that the ornate buildings they build from trees they have harvested, are still alive but only in a different incarnation - that of a building.
That is why their buildings have an entryway that has a face and the interiors are as the inside of a skeleton. Buildings are treated with respect just as a tree or an animal or a person is to be treated with respect. That resonates deeply with me. I believe it may be because I do have Tsalagi blood. Tsalagi is the Cherokee word for Cherokee.

I am an Eastern Orthodox Christian.
I consider myself part of the Christian Left, believing that a true Christian tries to the best of her ability to follow Christ's example during her short time here on earth. My Orthodox Christian spiritual name is Sophia. Sophia is Greek for Wisdom and the name was given to me by my priest when I first became Orthodox back in Memphis, Tennessee in 1993. My son became Orthodox in 1994 when he was 18 years old. He is now married to a wonderful Orthodox woman and they have two beautiful boys - my grandsons! My son's Orthodox name is Alexis. My daughter-in-law's Orthodox name is Elizabeth. My two grandsons are named Gideon and Christopher.
I just wanted to write and remind you that the first handout will be toward the end of December (exact date and location to come)! You still have almost two months to get your scarves in! If K.F.T.N. gets enough scarves donated, scarves will be passed out to the homeless in the North, and East Bay! We will also need help passing them out, so if that is something you would like to do, just let me know!
Happy Birthday Sabrina!! Come by for your free birthday beverage if you're in the neighborhood today!! We have a great band tonight! Have an excellent day!
