I really try to offer beautiful, comfortable, versatile clothes that fit lots of women. Tops, tanks, ponchos, sweaters, skirts, pants, hats, silk scarves, bags and more! Sizes s-xx means something for everyone. That's why you smile when you wear it. You are looking good!
Everything is hand-dyed by me, here in Eureka, CA. I use a dye process I have devised using layers of colors, mixed directly on the fabric. The effect is a sort of mellow tie dye feel, with lots of subtle interest in the material. I use the highest quality fabrics I can get, for richer colors and extra softness next to the skin.
On some pieces, I also add original mermaid, goddess and dancer prints using my own hand-cut print blocks. I'm now working on some new designs for next season. Yippee!
Me: I live in beautiful Humboldt county California, on the faaaar north coast. After 13 years in Arcata, made the big move to Eureka and it's weird. But I still love love love this area like the home I never had. The people and the surroundings totally do it for me. Beautiful all of them. I have a great life with my man Stu and our dog Panda. What can I say, I'm blessed.
I spend my days turning my fingers blue with dye or traveling to festivals selling my wares. Believe it or not, it's my little dream come true and I'm so very thankful! Last year I did more shows than ever and traveled to some great towns, like Mendocino, Fort Bragg, Caspar (LOVE the Mendo Coast!), Lakeport, Kelseyville (Clear Lake is gorgeous!), Roseburg (Oregon), and of course Garberville (my peoples). We have some great festivals around here and it's a blast to be part of them.
My favorite part of doing festivals, aside from making a living and meeting cool folks... is watching the bands. Gimme a booth next to the stage please! Always have a great time at the Mateel Arts & Music Festival in SoHum the North Country Fair on the Plaza. Some of my fav local bands are Kulica, Rooster McClintock, Bump Foundation and The Blushin Roulettes. Wooo!
