..No Boxes, No Games, No Disrespect, No Drama

I am a person who thinks outside of most boxes (except those that allow us to be civilized human beings), looks at the whole picture and have a severe alternative bend. I am a survivor of many things; some good, some evil. I think and feel strongly about many things, will sometimes express my opinion loudly or sometimes just keep my mouth shut and watch what happens. Most times I just watch and chuckle at the endless parade of the foolish who cross my path, whether it be at the supermarket or across my TV screen.

    I often wonder why some people just don't get it.

I watch shows like Law & Order so I can learn some of those ways that people think they are justified in committing ridiculous acts against humankind and nature. I watch comedy because I almost feel like comedians are the voice I have yet to give myself. I watch gangster things (The Godfather, Casino, Goodfellas, A Bronx Tale) because in an odd sort of way, I like their ethics. I watch "The History Channel," "Biography," and "The Discovery Channel" because they tell the real stories I wanted to hear in school.

I listen to music that gets me to emote. I dance &/or sing when the music hits me that way. Not just because I am in a place that was meant for dancing. The repetitive thump really cuts into my brain like some inhumane torture. Once upon a time, maybe. Only because, you know, I had just turned legal and that's the thing to do. But I grew out of that. But that got old pretty fast. And no matter when and no matter what is happening in my life, "DARK SIDE OF THE MOON" is ever present and ever relevant, even if only in my head.

I believe that a woman's body is something she should listen to. I believe that a woman's conscience is the only thing she should listen to when it comes to decisions about her body. We should be teaching our daughters the same.

I believe we should teach our sons that being a man is not about being the bigger and the badder. Nor is it about the number of notches in your belt you have or how many children you are a party in creating yet leave behind. There are many good men in the world who are overlooked because they truly are good men. Look around women.

I believe we should be teaching our children to stop the cycle of abuse, racism, hatred and ignorance. If we ever leave this planet for other worlds, it would be senseless to take with us the things that destroyed this one. I will teach my children to not take our shit with them. We have evolved to this point and we can evolve out of it.

I love the outdoors, although I haven't had much chance lately to enjoy it. My favorite things in the outdoors are whitewater sports (rafting, kayaking), blending in with my surroundings, or hoping the animal children will think me a stray and coax me into following them home. I believe a camping trip is a tent and a sleeping bag, not a house on wheels.

I believe that it really should be the will of the people that decides who governs us, not the player with the most dollars or belongs to some secret white man's society or spends too much time thinking that he is the savior of our souls. {I think I just heard many doors slamming and the scurrying away of the IM's I may have had. Go with God, Allah, Buddha, Shiva... and may the spirits shine their countenance upon thee.}

I take high tea in jeans and rarely will you see me in a dress. "Comfort is key."

I have a Seinfeld sort of sense of humor and just recently started eating my cereal with milk for breakfast (until now it was a dry snack food).

I truly believe that if you can't talk about sex and, you shouldn't be having sex. Those who think I am talking about physical activities are sorely mistaken. I for one have never looked at a person's outer packaging and thought, "That looks good. I want to hit that." If I can't have a conversation with you, what am I doing sleeping with you? Who the hell are you and what hell will you put me through because I don't know who you are and what you're about. And no more so than after the deed is done. How much time does it take you to decide you want to bang someone (cybersex and oral do count)? {There's those damn doors again -- lots of them. Do I care? Those were the IM's I didn't want in the first place.}
