About me: How To Boil A Frog. HTBAF is an eco-comedy-stunt-group-with-cameras; a newly spawned tadpole of a movie about who's lying to us, why, and what you can do to kick their ass. For info on how you can get in on the action check out our website at www.howtoboilafrog.com! A Valentine for Campbell
Who I'd like to meet:
You. But first you ask - what's with 'The Frog'? May I quote P.T. Anderson:
As far back as the Romans, people have been able to
judge the health of a society by the health of its frogs: the health
of a frog, the vibe of a frog, the texture of the frog, its looks, how
much wetness is on it, everything. The frogs are a barometer for who
we are as a people. We're polluting ourselves, we're killing
ourselves, and the frogs are telling us so, because they're all
getting sick and deformed."
Now add in the boiled frog syndrome (i.e. if you throw a frog into a pot of boiling water, he’ll jump out. But if you place a frog into a pot of lukewarm water and slowly turn up the heat, he will boil to death).
Voila! You have, How To Boil A Frog. HTBAF is a documentary about what actual-real-people can do about global warming. Yes, that's right - global warming. This is not a doc about frogs - 'The Frog' is a metaphor. I invite you to interpret his fate. In the meantime we'll show you how to have some fun with trouble. All you need is 6 friends, a camera, and a mission to save the world via 'giant-killing'.
This is no joke. In case you're not in the know, global warming (a.k.a. climate change) is happening, like NOW. But please people - let us NOT panic. Do your part. I'll do mine. It's called change. No pennies please. Worthwhile efforts are what is key. Get-up stand-up. One earth for all. Respect her, stop the abuse.
FYI: Bands like Radiohead, The Stones, Sting, Dave Matthews, and Franz Ferdinand are well aware of the fact that global warming is happening and have decided to be a part of the solution by going carbon neutral, as with Coldplay who tactfully posts online: This Web Site Is Carbon Neutral...Is Yours?
Pearl Jam's latest call to action comes via their Carbon Portfolio Strategy. They have asked all fans to unite and join in on the worldwide efforts to stop climate change.
Lets protect and preserve what we have for future generations.
Seriously we are on the precipice of sustainability on many fronts and are quickly running out of many natural resources.
So plant a tree…
Pick up some trash….
Don’t throw chemicals down the drain as they end up in our water supply….
Don’t use chemical fertilizers as it is creating dead zones and killing our waterways and oceans…
Recycle….
Reuse….
Reduce Usage….

Spread the word…….
The more GREEN folks on board the louder our collective voice!
