Testimonials
"BEMF is one of the most unique and enjoyable festivals out there that focuses on improvisation and creative musical practices. The gathering of artists is as much a social event as an artistic one, bringing together musicians from all over the country to hang out in beautiful downtown Boise at the lovely restaurants, coffee houses, pubs...and to listen to each others music. A wonderful event." - Jeff Kaiser (tea drinker, vegan, occasional yogi, and trumpet player), http://www.jeffkaiser.com/

"Remarkably short on attitude, long on the surprises that recombinance encourages, and as genial and matter-of-fact as the community that hosts it, BEMF has an interesting secret to drive its growth - anybody who’s been there once wants to come back again, and they’ve told their friends." - Gregory Taylor, http://www.rtqe.net

"...BEMF is one of the best organized, most creative and most generous in spirit of any I’ve ever participated in. I’m just astonished that in less than two years that you have created a world class new music festival." - Rick Walker (festival coordinator & artistic director / professional musician), http://www.looppool.info/

Background
The 1st and 2nd Annual Boise Experimental Music Festivals were both major successes and received accolades that placed Boise, Idaho (USA) on the map of other high caliber music festivals from around the world. This achievement goes hand in hand with the fact that Boise is now the third largest city in the North West of the United States, next to Seattle and Portland. Boise is also one of the fastest growing cities in the United States, and along with that comes a more diverse and creative music and art community. The festival received significant coverage in both local and national media, and based on its artistic merit, it was awarded a grant from the Idaho Commission on the Arts and National Endowment for the Arts.
Boise Experimental Music Festival's Friend Space (Top 8)
Boise Experimental Music Festival has 435 friends.
The phenomenon is tunable in that the characteristic sounds and intensities of those sounds depend on the characteristics of the RF energy as delivered... Because the frequency of the sound heard is dependent on the pulse characteristics of the RF energy, it seems possible that this technology could be developed to the point where words could be transmitted to be heard like the spoken word, except that it could only be heard within a person..s head. In one experiment, communication of the words from one to ten using ..speech modulated.. microwave energy was successfully demonstrated. Microphones next to the person experiencing the voice could not pick up these sounds

Believe us, every one of those 14 years have been freakin' too!
You've already put together a longer string of shows in one festival than we ever done though, and putting on such a fest in Boise is just ballsy to the max!
When at last we tear our hands into heaven we can be sure that in the next made Religion we won't be punctured by slivers from crossed wooden beams. Nor will any star or blood thirsty moon brandish its filthy points towards our orifices of faith. Religions fall on dead electricity that we must carry around like river rocks that we have lovingly tied around our ankles as the waters of life rise to our throats. Be sure that when you feel the icy cold waters of life that you breathe heavily as it pours into your lungs like heavy liquid smoke. When the lights go out you will be connected once again to the truth.

I believed in studying just because I knew education was a privilege. It was the discipline of study, to get into the habit of doing something that you don't want to do. Wynton Marsalis
Hey Kris I would love to be involved but will be in Italy. Talk with Jeremy at the Pulse. He may be interested. I am no longer the music director. Best Michael
