BOLTON METAL ALLIANCE was initially set up by me, Colin, but it has grown into a team of dedicated drinkers and fans of loud, fast, heavy music.
Over the past 6 years, we have formed an independant organisation based at The Alma in Bolton. We put on many awesome Metal, Punk, Hardcore, Grind, Rock and other heavy bands in and around the town, and we are very proud to have organised many succesful all-day festivals and hundreds of smaller gigs.
Our main venue is THE ALMA INN, which is Bolton's only Rock/Metal pub and also the main music venue for the town. We work hard to bring great entertainment to Bolton, from local bands playing their first gig to more established signed acts from accross Europe - some of the bigger names we've had on include VIKING SKULL, THE CASINO BRAWL, MADMAN IS ABSOLUTE, EVILE, SLIT, THE BEZERKER, MENDEED, WAKO and PANIC CELL.
BMA gigs are fun and chilled out - we're all in bands ourselves and are not into ripping bands off like a lot of other promoters. We like to get pissed out of our heads, watch decent bands and have a good jump about making tits of ourselves - events are always well promoted and we garuantee a packed out house. It really is as simple as that! The Metal scene in Bolton is fucking ace and almost every single band we've ever booked has been treated to an awesome beer and metal fuelled event, most bands demanding to return and play for us again!!!
