Three talented, seasoned musicians.
Three radically different personalities.
Three completely different musical styles.
One in a million..................
Mark Guldenstein: Lead vocals, lead guitar
15 years of live performance have enabled Mark to craft a truly unique playing
style rooted in a mixture of rock, blues, punk, and country. As well as
being a veteran live musician, he has also worked on numerous studio
projects, and has achieved commercial and college radio play with The Ruins and Spittle. His style, diversity, and charisma bring an ingredient of refined chaos to Bolt Upright.
David Greer: Bass guitar, backing vocals
Technical savvy and lightning bolt precision combined with an eclectic mix of frenetic energy separate Dave from the rest of the pack. He studied music at Concordia University in Montreal, and has played in many bands in the past including Rick O'Shea, Private Eye's, and Nanogram 17.
Kimio Oki: drums, initram
Kimio’s resume includes recording for Duke street records, Attic, BMG, EMI Publishing, A&M and Sony Records. He has played with Johnny Lovsin, Liberty Silver, Sven Gali, and Lee Arron with whom he won a Juno for best video-Heavy Metal. Kimio performed with Marty
Lucifer Port and Thunderstorm to commemorate the category for native music
in the Juno awards. He was awarded Best Toronto Drummer at the 1992
Toronto Music Awards and he represented Canada in Cuba at the 6th Multi cultural Festival.
Playing everything from Jimi Hendrix to Johnny Cash, to The Ramones to Neil Diamond, Bolt Upright will keep any crowd entertained and ready for more.
