Driven by dreams of becoming a rapper, Atiim began to perform at the age of 14. But for Atiim, music was the main thing. Influenced by groups like De-La Soul, Atiim became drawn to the East Coast style of music and began to incorporate poetic lyricism into his style. Expanding his horizons both musically and politically, Atiim began writing lyrics that addressed important issues.
Atiim moved to LA in 1994 and began writing many of the songs he'll release this year (2008). However, upon moving back to the Bay Area from LA & Central California in 2003, he has been on a mission to pull together musicians that could express his ideas in an organic and funky fashion. The hopadelic sounds of Bomani Musik is the end result.
Atiim has auditioned and played with many musicians and groups, as a vocalist and writer, creating different titles for his band idea (From FRENDZ to Supa FRENDZ) to formulate what is now known as Hopadelic Funk & Soul, BOMANI Musik.
