Established in 2003 as a ska-punk clubnight, BOMB IBIZA has developed into Manchester's most thriving community for the ska genre.
With the support of local website mancpunkscene.co.uk (RIP) a network of enthusiasts quickly developed, helping to put on some of the best-value and fun independent clubnights in the city.
The summer of 2004 saw the development of Bomb Ibiza Promotions, based around a monthly showcase for UK ska acts: The Manchester Ska Bar. Bomb Ibiza subsequently began to put on heaps of other events, both in our own right but also via co-promotion.
Bomb Ibiza aims primarily to bring together the various strands of the ska scene in Manchester and the UK - to work with local bands, promoters, record labels, venues, record stores and generally anyone who loves music as much as we do!
Bomb Ibiza is a not-for-profit business, and we work hard to pump as much excess cash as we can into the Manchester ska scene by supporting local bands, subsidising gigs to make them cheaper for our punters, with any excess funds being donated to local charities.
Bands we've put on in the past include: The Toasters, Lightyear, Adequate 7, The Slackers, Zen Baseballbat, Mustard Plug, The Planet Smashers, Sonic Boom Six, Streetlight Manifesto, The Catch-it Kebabs, Big D and the Kids Table, Howards Alias, Stza Crack, Random Hand, The Freaks Union, The Aquabats, Leftover Crack, No Comply, APB, Grown at Home, The Filaments, The JB Conspiracy, Skylar, RX Bandits, Captain Everything! and many MANY more...
Watch out for Bomb Ibiza gigs and clubnights throughout Manchester, and don't forget to visit our forum at www.roadkill-forum.co.uk - or search for our Facebook group!

Ahoy there! Check out our new EP The Inland Sea here - You can also listen and buy at www.theinlandsea.co.uk Enjoy xxx “A call to arms from the perilous waters of the Island. Kinfolk cower in their homes as wild squalls rage fury on us. A far cry from the glassy seas and towering swells from which we profited only a few days ago. Respite cruelly prized from our grasp, our hopes of reprieve in calmer seas lie tattered, at least for now. Scathed but not scarred, we persist through relentless gales and cloudbursts on the fringes of the ocean, passing the church in the bay where many a reveler and mourner has been left stranded at high tide. Through fortune and fortitude we reach the shore and are greeted by warm fires, zestful ales and hearty tales shared with our good friend, (sadly soon to depart us). For the storm has abated and the bow has settled. We wipe our blinkered eyes, ravaged and weary; the majestic scenes enveloped by the Island in a blind rage, ever imprinted in our minds”... The Inland Sea is inspired by the isle of Anglesey, a place that has always been close to The Mekkits’ hearts... It was recorded and produced at "Studio Los Mekkitos"... in Manchester, and will be followed next year with the ecclectic debut album!
