Established in 2003 as a ska-punk clubnight, ..BOMB IBIZA.. has developed into Manchester's most thriving community for the ska genre..... With the support of local website mancpunkscene.co.uk (RIP) a network of enthusiasts quickly developed, helping to put on some of the best-value and fun independent clubnights in the city. .... The summer of 2004 saw the development of Bomb Ibiza Promotions, based around a monthly showcase for UK ska acts: The Manchester Ska Bar. Bomb Ibiza subsequently began to put on heaps of other events, both in our own right but also via co-promotion. .... Bomb Ibiza aims primarily to bring together the various strands of the ska scene in Manchester and the UK - to work with local bands, promoters, record labels, venues, record stores and generally anyone who loves music as much as we do! .... Bomb Ibiza is a not-for-profit business, and we work hard to pump as much excess cash as we can into the Manchester ska scene by supporting local bands, subsidising gigs to make them cheaper for our punters, with any excess funds being donated to local charities. ....
