About me:
Ali Pace and her mother Annette Pace have been working together designing and making clothing for over 10 years, collaborating on everything from prom dresses and Halloween costumes to ball gowns and even Ali's own wedding dress. After years of creating fashion for themselves and their friends they decided to branch out. In 2005, together with Ali's sister Sarah Pace, they opened Bombshell Boutique. They ordered clothing from some of the hottest brands in the world including Lure, Frankie B., and Triple 5 Soul. But while they were excited to offer upscale brands in Pittsburgh, they also wanted to showcase their own unique style. So (down with fashion) was born.
(down with fashion) is a fusion of the designer's love for Broadway style and the Rock and Roll aesthetic, pretty princess designs and bombshell glamour. It's about finding the contradictions that exist inside everyone and exploiting them to create something new and exciting. (down with fashion) isn't about following trends, it's about making new ones. (down with fashion) isn't just about breaking the rules, it's about making up new ones... and then turning them on their heads.
