Bombskare are the face of Ska in Scotland, Reaching zero to sixty skanking miles an hour in the space of three chords, they combine top quality dance-along songs with well crafted album tunes. As tight as a media exaggerated general election, they are masters of their craft, weaving keys, brass and strings over a backdrop of bass heavy ska rhythms. Ideally paced for erratic and speedy vertical movements of the elbows and knees, it's safe to say that Bombskare can merrily blow their own trumpet and claim to be the must see live band of the festival circuit. Live or recorded, this band delivers in spades. 2009 saw the release of their debut album A Fistful of Dynamite, to the delight of their legion of die-hard fans. Check out their latest release, a Beatles tribute EP, Skabbey Road and the new live album How The North Was Won.

The best description of the band (though not necessarily accurate) was "they are like the Blues Brothers on speed crossed with Madness on prozac"
