Bomp! was both the brainchild, and the unorthodox corporate logo of rock & roll rebel legend Greg Shaw. His major legacy was the two magazines Bomp! (Who Put The Bomp) and its predecessor Mojo Navigator, both wild treasure troves of writing and graphics that gave birth to the modern rock press -- and Bomp! records, the first and the last of the true independent labels.
Shaw and a team of now legendary writers - Lester Bangs, Greil Marcus, Ken Barnes, and even Iggy Pop - not only tell the story of rock'n'roll from the ground up but also give a vivid insight into the actual dawn of modern rock writing.
This first ever collection includes lavish, full-color, facsimile pages from ultra-rare magazines thought to be lost to the world, chronicling the furious progress of outlaw music as it happened.

This is so grossly criminally ridiculous that we don’t even have to mention her implementation of medical fees for women who have been raped in her state. Should hobbies such as animal killing suffice in regard to the value of this person? A pure Christian prompt to have the OTHER HUMAN BEING, unbeliever/questioner of HER fundamentalist Faith, be killed! We want peace in each of our lives. If that is your goal, we encourage you to vote for Obama. For Americans, who need translation, “Hussein” means “Beautiful”: in plain English. I would pick, in a second, this first name if I was left with a choice between: “Walker” or “Dick.”
The same ones who are depriving 80% of the entire World population, species and vegetal, of what is left to satisfy their deep, deeply abysmal, safes and pockets.

OK! Now, there are No 2 ways about it! Deep down inside their souls and hearts, Native and Caucasian North American, Hispanic, Asian, or whatever their ethnic origin, Voters have to ask themselves: “Am I A Racist? Or NOT?” (I do realize it’s not an easy task for you have to turn over some corners of your Being and face the darkest side of your mind.)

Hey! Suzy.....the book is great I'm about halfway through it now. Man,lot's of interesting stuff I didn't even know. You know I been dealing with Bomp! since 1977.
Congratulations! I hope you have a fantastic launch party ... I can't believe I'll be out of town. .. but I will be out of town exhibiting pictures of Greg & Stiv together from our glory days in 1979.
