The rock never stops at Bomp Records!
Bomp! is America's most dedicated indie label, featuring punk, pop, powerpop, garage, new wave, old school rock, and much more.
Since 1974, Bomp has introduced such artists as the Modern Lovers, Iggy Pop, Stiv Bators & the Dead Boys, 20/20, Shoes, Devo, the Romantics, DMZ, the Zeros, the Weirdos, Spacemen 3, the Germs, Jeff Dahl, the Warlocks, the Brian Jonestown Massacre, the Black Lips, Les Hell on Heels, the Telescopes, and too many more to mention.
Bomp's founder, Greg Shaw, died on Tuesday, October 19th 2004. He was 55. Greg's lifelong devotion to discovering, raving about and releasing authentic -albeit obscure- rock & roll, and promoting rock fandom over four decades was extraordinary. Among his many accomplishments were fanzine publisher, magazine editor, band manager, author, indie label owner, and rock historian. Greg's legacy is the Bomp/Voxx records he was so proud to release, as ever they will be in print and available to inspire music lovers everywhere.
Who I'd like to meet:
If you can't find our records locally, you can order them direct from Bomp Mailorder at super-low prices (generally $10 for CDs). Bomp also carries thousands of cool titles from all over the world: indie stuff, scarce reissues of punk, garage and psych, and a whole lot more. It's te world's oldest surviving indie record service (started in 1969 by Suzy Shaw), so you know it must be good; plus we guarantee incredibly fast service, even overseas.

I interviewed renowned photographer Bob Gruen last year and just posted a video of that on YouTube. He talks about the early days when he was taking pictures of Ike and Tina Turner, John Lennon, the New York Dolls, the Sex Pistols and the Clash. Check it out!
